Trouble is we've not had a blue groove at Poole for a season to two tho Sube. Am reliably told that Skornicki was not a knee jerk signing... I've no reason to doubt the source but have to say it's a weird tangent Matt has taken this time.

Tis sad but true. As ever some of the sad tossers who delight in anything unfortunate affecting Poole are off on a mission on BSF but it seems the cock-up was originally made on the ratified greensheets with Craig given a 3.0 average. No wonder so many clubs were after the bloke in the first place! I'm surprised Matt didn't pick it up but there you go, he's well aware of it now so we watch and wait. You must realise that in many cases the sad tossers who are having a go at "Poole" aren't actually having a go at the club. They are simply replying to Poole's own bunch of sad tossers on the BSF!!! I count myself lucky to have some good friends from Darzet, and some of those people are members of the BSF, so clearly, that is not aimed at Poole fans in general. I'm sure you know who I'm refering too - it shouldn't take much to work it out. Spin will always attract anti-spin, and bullshit will always attract ridicule. Personally, I think Matt Ford should be applauded for his efforts to help stabilise the Elite League. I also witnessed him personally speaking to fans and explaining the events of the ELRC rain off a couple of years ago, and he should be applauded for that. Matt has promoted Poole Speedway in a very professional manner in his time there, he's turned the club around and it's a fact they are one of the best supported clubs in the country - and all credit for that must also go to him (and Mike). The majority of the critisisim Matt (and Mike) get is directly aimed at the said tossers, who often go out of their way to antagonise fans of other clubs - don't you remember a map of Coventry Speedway appearing on the BSF with street names superimposed over it? Don't take it personally squirlski , it's not aimed at you or the club, it is aimed at your sad tosser minority.

Can't say I really care who gets the last place. It's only likely to be someone who's going to pick up the odd point on that sort of average so I'd recommend just getting the first guy to show interest. Not speechless, are you, youngster?

Still doesn't make for pleasant reading for the rest of us though who have no gripe with other clubs. I'd love to meet some of these twonks though...just to see if my mental pictures of them are anywhere close

Is PT sure it's only the rule book that gets thicker every year???!!
Yet another example that the majority of Speedway 'bosses' don't have the first clue about the 'sport' which they administer!

More on the Craig Watson situation: Here.So yet again proof that the fans understand more than the promoters! ;D CVS has pissed me off more than once for assuming that 'the great unwashed' are complete morons with the IQ of a gnat.....it seems to be the curse of 'rich' people (especially those who were born into money) to assume that the higher your bank balnace the higher your IQ! Perhaps they need to have a look at the British Upper Class to see what bullshit that is! In reality I'd say a good proportion of fans are very intelligent people and we are perfectly capable of sussing out when the promoters are on the fiddle!

Also interesting to note in the Matt Ford interview that, apparently, CVS rang him to ask about the "hot rumour" that Poole were going to drop Skornicki. I assume this comes from CVS seeing a few opinions on the BSF along the lines that Poole ought to think about dropping Skornicki to give them more room for manoeuvre. So, in fact, there probably never was a rumour, just someone putting two and two together and coming up with fifty-two-and-a-half.

Quite funny that they say the rule book is hard to follow i thought that the rule about wato average was quite an easy one and most people knew it.
If fans have to tell the people who run the sport the rules i really do fear for the sport ,unreal and only in speedway .

So it was the Poole bashers to blame How pathetic. It's surely the responsibility of the promoters to make and revise the rules, and I'd suggest the Management Committee should be playing an important role in bringing to attention any redundant or unnecessary rules. And if the rulebook is indeed getting thicker every year (which BTW isn't actually true), then why is the Chairman complaining about this?

Given that we had all this nonsense a few years ago with Jason Lyons at Belle Vue and then a couple of years ago with Danny Bird at Reading, you'd have thought promoters would be more familiar with the rulings on averages.
