I am quite looking forward to this, cant wait to see if the stack of cash that has gone on Button was justified, at one point a few short weeks ago he was as big as 124/1 to be world champion, he now is as low as 9/2.
Could be a good sporting day on sunday with the boat race also taking place, i've always been a Dibleyman on the rowing front, which should please Genghis, and our boys are as low as 1/4 to yet again trounce the light blue northerners.

Please tell me you don't have money on Button to win the GP! No not a penny on anyone Schumi, but little things please little minds, and i get all excited when anyone or anything gets backed that heavily.

Race starts at 7am, programme starts at 6am. That's not too bad. I'll be up in time. All together now... "Dum da-da-dum-da-da-da-da-da-dum"... ;D Decent coverage of F1 finally returns.

With pole secured, Button is odds-on in a place to win the opener.

01 J. Button Brawn GP 1:26.202 ;D It's great to see that again, hopefully the car has race pace and he can turn it into a win However, Toyota have been sent to the back of the grid for havinf illegal rear wings. Also, Hamilton goes back to 18th for a gearbox change. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/7969641.stm

Go Button Looks like I was right about him and Schumi was wrong. Yes, clearly: Could we be about to see a battle of the Brits? Ross Brawn's team have somehow leapt from obscurity to front-runners since the Brit took over the old Honda outfit. They seem to be making the Mercedes engines work better than McLaren themselves... So could we see Button emerge from the shadows and take on Hamilton? It would be nice to see, although I think it's expecting a little too much for Brawn GP to challenge for the title in the first year, it will take time to build up the necessary reliability, etc. This year's championship will be between Lewis & Kimi. The winner will depened on whether McLaren or Ferrari have the advantage.

Schumi, there's no point repreating recent postings, especially as my posts make no actual reference to Button, a driver I have regularly championed in the past. I could (but can't be bothered) to go back and find the further postings from the 2007-2008 winter, during which I wanted Button to be given the second seat at McLaren to create a McLaren dream team with two potential British World Champions in the team, whereas you wanted the unworthy and useless Kovalainen to get that place. I am suprised (but pleasantly) with the sheer immediate competitiveness of Brawn GP, and it makes for an intriguing season. It also gives Button a chance to prove himself to the likes of unbelievers such as yourself
