I think Poole will be a much tougher propostion now they have signed Antonio Lindback on a 3.00 average - that's quite a loophole that they managed to find. Yet another example of how the 'averages system' is flawed and should be scrapped.

That's what I thought when I read Nicki P's website today (Danish headline). At least he has a good sense of humour.

In Time Honoured tradition anyone who makes a april fools joke after 12.00pm is indeed a fool themselves.. (plus Hatcham of course!) ;D

Poole have redeclared: www.poolespeedway.net/09-website/news.phpLukas Jankowski comes in for the rest of the season, and Paul Hurry to cover for Legault, as well as Chris Neath as Number 8. All 3 will make their debut against Eastbourne in the double header on Friday.

Transferred this from the Peterborough thread. Could be worse - you could be Poole. Only a matter of time before Linback joins them though Can't see it happening unless he's given a reassessed average. Even with Bjarne not scoring as well as perhaps should be expected, I think they'll keep him on out of loyalty. They're not going to drop Holder, and it would take one of those two leaving to get Lindback in. And that's if they can convince Rickardsson it's in the best interests of his protégé. And none of that even takes into account Antonio's wishes, which was to ease himself back into the sport gradually.

Kyle Legault on the sidelines for another "two to three" months after a successful operation to replaces the steel rod in his leg: Injured Poole star Kyle Legault is beginning another comeback trail after a successful operation to replace the steel rod in his thigh that he broke last year. The Canadian star returned to hospital on Tuesday for the operation and is now recovering in Sheffield. "They say it went well, it was a bit difficult getting the old rod out. They've put a stronger one in and everything is straight, in line and good. But I'm very sore. They say I can walk on it when I'm ready, but it hurts more this time so I'm in no hurry!" Legault said. His old rod had bent over time and it was this that was causing him pain during his brief appearance for the Pirates. It's predicted that he'll spend two to three months on the sidelines. However, Legault has stressed that he won't be rushing to get back on track. "I don't want to go through this pain again, so I'm going to take my time and heal properly," he said. "I want to be fully fit before I get back on a bike again.". Last year he defied all the doctor's predictions and trained very hard to return in time to race in his Grand Prix qualifier in Italy. This time he faces another long road of training and physiotherapy, but although he won't be repeating those heroics this time, he remains upbeat and determined to race at the highest level. "Hopefully I’ve still got a long way to go and I know I'm capable of doing well in the Elite League," Kyle said. "It's so frustrating to be sat on the sidelines and see my team struggle like they have. The Poole management have been very supportive and I am determined to repay their faith in me by getting fully fit and doing well for them." Legault's team-mates travel to Coventry tonight (Friday April 17th) still smarting from their Wednesday thrasing at Wimborne Road. Carl Stonehewer returns to the line-up for the Pirates after missing the Pirates trip to Peterborough, so it will be the same sides that faced each other on Wednesday.Taken from: www.poolespeedway.net

With the Nicholls wicket looking increasingly sticky over in Poland, could the global superstar perhaps find himself down Wimborne Road way?

Jesus, I'll be sooo glad when we get to this damned first set of averages. I am so hacked off with all the chinese whispers and conspiracy theories. If anyone else says to me 'I've heard...' or 'so-and-so reckons...' I'm going to scream!!!!
