After a much more interesting race last time around what will Hungary bring? Well, not much if previous form is to be believed, with this race often being processional as there aren't many overtaking opportunities.
It's unlikely that we'll see a repeat of last season's one-off (two second penalty day) when Jenson Button qualified in 14th then went on to win his first ever GP in wet conditions, but it's possible we could see back-to-back British winners with Lewis ready to take the chequered flag and get back to winning ways. The McLaren has been going well in testing at Jerez, but as Ferrari don't test with them it's hard to compare the two. Though it's pretty much assured there will be one or the other on the front row of the grid on Saturday.
Two other drivers to keep an eye on - Alex Wurz and Mark Webber. Both have made an impression on me this year, though, as ever, their achievements have been overshadowed by the media interest in Lewis Hamilton. Coulthard has the ability to get up in the points if only he could manage to keep his car on the tarmac and nurture it to the end. I do wonder whether his F1 career is almost up, but when he finally does retire, that, for me, will be the final nail in the coffin as there will be no personality left in the sport.
A better race than previous years please, Mr Ecclestone, or we're sending in Wibblemuis with his hose. Failing that McLaren are always good for some controversy lately. I'm just waiting to see what their latest scheme is.

Sorry Schumi this is usually the worst GP of the season . The result will be decided on the Saturday lunchtime . Actually, they have been some very good Hungarian GPs - in addition to last year's enthralling race (where I ended up defending Schumacher, and Schumi ended up criticising him!!). 1989 saw Mansell's famous overtake on Senna, while the 1991 race saw a brilliant defensive drive by Senna, where he resisted the much-faster Williams pair of Mansell & Patrese for the whole race (which sounds boring, but it wasn't). All the best Rob

Again it's a battle between the usual suspects with Massa setting the fastest time of the morning ahead of Alonso and Hamilton.
Qualifying session starts at 1pm today on ITV.

It's a breathe of fresh air having Damon Hill in the commentary box - even James Allen seems bearable today! All the best Rob

I haven't been listening, Rob. I've got Donsking on the radio so have the tele turned down, but I'm not a big Damon fan so I'm not disappointed. Shame they couldn't have had Damon in instead of James though - Martin is hilarious!

How naughty was that from Alonso? He held up Hamilton, what looked like deliberately in the pits, to prevent him from taking his final qualifying lap. Worse than any move Schumacher's EVER pulled Rob.

Oh dear... the fireworks at McLaren will really start now... Mr. Dennis is NOT happy. Alonso delibrately delayed Hamilton in taking a further lap to steal pole position... I don't expect to see him back at McLaren next year All the best Rob

1..Alonso 2..Hamilton 3..Heidfeld 4..Raikkonen 5..Rosberg 6..Schumacher 7..Kubica 8..Fisichella
Not sure if it'll stay like that after the stewards make their decision on the incident with Fisi and Yamamoto, and will Alonso keep his pole position?

Was that fair?? Or just good tactics? It's not sporting, is it? I think Alonso is trying to take over from Schumacher as the new flapperjack of F1. And whatever you do, you don't upset Mr. Dennis... unless you want to end up driving for Super Aguri next year All the best Rob

Well, Lewis had his photo taken with Fernando, but from the press conference he's really not happy, and I can't blame him. Either way someone is responsible for that - either Fernando himself or the team.

Worse than any move Schumacher's EVER pulled Rob. Well, Schumacher always had a sub-servient No. 2 at Ferrari, didn't he? Alonso was a fucking tit today and he'll be made a pay for it. But not sure if it was WORSE than what happened in the final race of 1997... can't see Alonso being chucked out the championship for cheating as per Schumacher. Very diplomatic by Lewis in the press conference. All the best Rob P.S. Real fireworks between team-mates for the first time since 1988-1989.... it's long overdue Hope Alonso's car blows up tomorrow ;D

Either way someone is responsible for that - either Fernando himself or the team. Given Mr. Dennis's reaction, I would definitely say it was Alonso. I think Jemson Button should apply for the forthcoming vacancy at McLaren for next season. ;D All the best Rob
