Now we know The Aces are still in the EL it's time to start thinking of the 2010 team. It's pretty hard when the only decent, and I use the term loosely with one of them, assets we have are Hougaard and Gjedde. David Gordon has hinted that contracts for next season have been offered to Hougaard, Ostergaard and Gjedde. Kasprzak has hinted he'd like a return to us next but according to Pooles new press officer, LisaCollette, he told somefans at Poole last week he wants to go back there. With all the talk of Birmingham moving up into the EL it looks like we'll be losing James Wright.
In my humble opinion Belle Vue just need a 1-7 that looks like it isn't going to finish bottom. They cannot afford another year struggling as crowds have noticably dropped since Tony Mole sold up.
Should make an interesting off-season in Manchester.

Kasprzak... told some fans at Poole last week he wants to go back there. The usual "everyone wants to ride for Poole" end of season guff.

I'd be more than happy for Krzysztof to come home to Lakeside. On the subject of Belle Vue, I guess it all depends on the whingers plans...........now remind me who once said no rider is bigger than the club?

Crump has already said he plans on giving the EL a miss again in 2010.....until August that is when Wroclaw are languishing near the bottom of the Extraliga table. As much I love the Crumpster and as much as he enjoys being an 'Ace' his average takes up too much of a chunk of whatever the points limit will be. If rumours are to be believed then Iversen is not going to be at the Panthers next year so I'd rather go with KK and Puk as our top 2 than Crump and Gjedde.

GORDON Pairman, Belle Vue's Isle of Man-based promoter, is standing down from his day-to-day commitment with the Manchester club.
He will remain as a shareholder and director after recent discussions with his co directors, David Gordon and Chris Morton.
Managing Director, David Gordon, said: “Gordon's input into the club is highly valued and the three of us will continue to work together for the foreseeable future.”

Gordon stated on the aces forum the decision was made so he could concentrate on his business and his family.

I presume we've been given permission by Matt Ford as according to Herr Beckingham on the Aces forum we're in talks with Kasprzak.....as well as Hougaard, Gjedde and Ostrichguard......but you already knew about that.
Quite happy if KK returns. He was Crumpesque at times last season although there were one or two times he was Rajkwoskiesque.

The usual " everyone wants to ride for Poole" end of season guff. Nothing of the sort actually, schumi. He did actually tell a group of Poole fans (my husband was one of them! ) at the Stadium when he was there for the Buccs match that he wanted to return to Poole. KK is a Poole asset and never makes a secret of his desire to ride for the club. However, his average is too high to fit in and think it's more likely he will stay at Belle Vue. Good Luck to him wherever he rides in 2010.

I wasn't questioning the source, P, but, with all due respect, riders often tell fans what they want to hear - no point in ruling any clubs out by saying they don't want to ride for them, after all. Anyway, it's academic now, as it seems KK has signed for Lakeside. So what now for Belle Vue?

So what now for Belle Vue? An exciting basement battle with Ippo and the Seahawks by the look of things.

So what now for Belle Vue? An exciting basement battle with Ippo and the Seahawks by the look of things. Who's left to sign, in the way of heat leaders? Andersen Possibly AJ, N Pedersen or Hampel B Pedersen - probably at Poole Lindgren - Wolves Zagar Then we have the in-betweeners (the strength in depth options) Nicholls - Ipswich Harris - Coventry Shields Richardson Kennett Gjedde Iversen Have I forgotten anyone?

Andersen is a possibility and seems to be the fans choice. No way will AJ, Nicki or Jarek come to Belle Vue. None of us want Bjarne, Lindgren will lead the Wolves again and does Lindback want a return to EL Racing. Nicholls and Harris seem popular choices with the fans but will more than likely stay with the clubs they finished the season with. Shields is great riding against the Aces but dire when riding for them. Think he'll stay at Lakeside. Richardson is rumoured to be off to Swindon, Kennett will stay at Coventry and Iversen will be back with the Panthers. Gjedde's coming back but only because he's on a daft 5.5 average. So that leaves.....erm........nobody. Another wonderful season in store unless they can tempt the 2009 World Champion back for one final fling. Even then we'd still have a shit team as his average would leave 29 points for 6 riders.
