Rumour has it we're announcing our No.1 tomorrow. No news as yet, but if BV are willing to invest a little, it might be worth inviting Forsberg back. I know he had financial problems due to a lack of rides last year, but if he could get some decent machinery I think he'd repay that loyalty. He was pretty fed up with his home country not using him, and talked about coming back here, but he couldn't afford it. With the right set-up, I think he'd be a good bet. And, of course, it's vital you sign Hougaard.

Shame really as there was potential if he could have stayed free of injuries. I agree that Hougaard is a must but the rumour, and there are a lot of those flying round at the moment, is that 3 EL clubs have been denied permission to speak with Patrick. The rumour about us announcing our Number 1 was just that................a rumour. Grrrr.

I believe so. I believe a deal was in place, flights for Matej had been paid for and it was all due to be done at the Hilton Sky Tower in Manchester City Centre.....all until the 11th hour when the Budgies chipped in with a better offer. People on the Aces forum are claiming Zagar screwed us but can we really blame him for taking the better offer of the two. Now Nicholls has gone back to Ippo that leaves Hans Andersen the only heatleader I can think of willing to still ride in the UK. He won't come cheap but if GMP get their hands in their pockets it'll be worth it.

Nice to see GMP digging deep to get Hans....now just get the other 6 right and we might not finish bottom. Welcome to Belle Vue Hans.

Andersen, Hougaard, Ostergaard and Gjedde - team Denmark in Manchester. Nice to see BV have something to be positive about so early in the season.

I'm told that Ostergaard's home track in 2010 will be the East of England Showground. Shame really as I don't really think we saw the best of him. I'd happily have Ulrich back but only if he started at reserve.

Holsted's website is reporting you've signed Gjedde and - yep - Hougaard.

Unless you want to be in the position we were in 2009.

Holsted's website is reporting you've signed Gjedde and - yep - Hougaard. And they were correct too. Gjedde, Hougaard and Wright signed up for 2010. Who, ohwhy, we don't just buy James Wright is beyond me. www.bellevuespeedway.org

I wouldn't buy him, I'd bin him - belongs in the Premier League.
