P&P was bloody cold. Zonkers, Hans looks even better in his Aces Kevlars in the flesh. New silencers make the bikes sound a little odd but we'll get used to it. Step forward Messrs. Wright & Andersen for the award of first riders to hit the deck at BV in 2010. Wright just lost it going into bend 3 and Hans went into the first turns way too fast, spun it and went into the air fence back first. Got up, brushed himself off and carried on. Ashworth, Lawson and Lanham all looked comfortable on track as did Josh Grajczonek. PK's bikes were there but he wasn't!!!!

PREMIER League Riders’ Champion Ricky Ashworth admits one of the biggest mistakes of his career was turning down a second season at Peterborough.
Ashworth, 27, has revealed his regret at refusing a new contract from the Panthers as he prepares to return to the East of England Showground for Sunday’s Premier League Four Team Championship Finals (August 15, 2.30pm)
He tells this week’s Speedway Star: “I used to love riding there when I rode for the Panthers in 2004.
“I had some great meetings and I kind of kick myself for not going back there the following year.
“It all came too fast for me, I’d only been riding a couple of years and I was in the Elite League and winning races, I couldn’t believe it.
“I don’t know why I didn’t go back, probably inexperience. I had some very good meetings, I remember beating Jason Crump round there and I’d only been riding two years.”
Ashworth made 22 appearances for the Panthers, scoring 119 points but went to rivals Poole the following year and has had little top-flight experience since.
Even though he’s currently in Belle Vue’s squad he’s ridden in only three matches this season.
He added: “I probably should have done another year doubling up there (at Peterborough) and then, who knows, it might have been a different story.
“I was ever so comfortable round there but it all came too soon for me and I didn’t know how to deal with it and went to Poole the year after.
“Peterborough wanted me back but I didn’t go and I kind of lost my way a little bit. Results weren’t going my way at Poole, especially away from home where I had some shocking meetings.
“People got disillusioned and kind of thought I’d been around for ever and this season is the first since 2005 that I have had anything to do with the Elite League.”
Ashworth is bidding to win a third national title in less than a year with Sheffield.
He partnered teammate Josh Auty to win the Premier League Pairs in June and looks at the Fours title as the last piece of silverware to complete his personal collection.
He won the league, Knock Out Cup and Young Shield in his early seasons with the Tigers and is the current holder of both the individual and Pairs titles.
