No Hancock then, I assume. Guess his hotel expenses would have been too high.
Andersen is a good choice though, and one that I'd thought of due to the Gundersen race suit.
How about the Scud? He's riding again.

He's riding again. As long as he wears his Erik leathers that'll do Hancock was perhaps unrealistic but I think there was a desire to get him over if possible. Others who have ridden for Cradley and still riding are Paul Fry, Scud, Stuart Swales, after that I'm struggling. In all honesty it doesn't really matter who rides as long as we're competitive and they've got an 'ommer on the jacket

TV VIEWERS will have seen the spill that led to the withdrawal of Jason Crump from Monday's televised meeting between Belle Vue and Ipswich.
Jason sustained a tyre burn to his upper arm in the incident which has required surgery, involving a skin graft. He was discharged from hospital yesterday.
Co-Promoter Gary Patchett commented: 'We were thrilled to be able to include Jason in the re-staging of the 4 team tournament. Obviously, it goes without saying, that we are extremely disappointed that Crumpie will not be able to take part on Thursday. Jason is rightly focussed on winning the World Title and he must concentrate fully on that. We wish him well in his recovery and for the remaining 2 Grands Prix.'
Ironically, the other rider involved in that incident, Swindon asset and original 2009 team member, Troy Batchelor will deputise.
In a seperate development the club have been informed that Neils Kristian Iversen will not be available to ride tomorrow. No reason has been given by the rider for this late withdrawal. Eastbourne and Team GB start Lewis Bridger will take over. REGRETABLY, Kings Lynn have refused to allow Darcy Ward permission to ride in Thursday's 4 Team Tournament.
Co-Promoter Gary Patchett adds: 'I received a phone call from Rob Lyon, earlier this evening, advising me that Darcy riding tomorrow was against their wishes and that the rider was withdrawing on that basis. I cannot but think that this is part of a pre-conceived agenda on the part of the Kings Lynn promotion after the protracted transfer of Troy Batchelor to Swindon. Considering Jonathan Chapman was sat opposite me all day yesterday at a promoter's meeting in Rugby I would have thought that he might have remembered to mention it to me then.
What they (the KL promotion) clearly do not appreciate is that by doing this they are depriving the broader speedway public of the opportunity to see one of the sports outstanding prospects. This meeting was never about Swindon, but about the plight of Cradley, Oxford and Reading. Considering the Chapman's involvement in the Leicester project I would have thought they would be sympathetic to the cause. Obviously not. Using the rider as a pawn in this way is disgraceful.
Eastbourne's Australian star Cameron Woodward steps in and we are grateful to him for accepting our invitation, at this late stage.www.swindon-speedway.co.ukSwindon Leigh Adams Simon Stead Morten Risager Mads Korneliussen CradleyHans Andersen Adam Shields Cameron Woodward Cory Gathercole ReadingMatej Zagar Travis McGowan Patrick Hougaard Mark Lemon Oxford Troy Batchelor Lewis Bridger Steve Johnston Paul Hurry

Maybe, maybe not Grachan but with the play-offs and possible meetings with Poole or Belle Vue to come why would Lynn want to risk Ward for a meeting that is becoming more meaningless by the hour. Of course it's not only the Oxford team thats a farce but i highlighted their line up due to their number one fans previous post.

Bolloxs!!! Agreed - been looking forward to this for weeks. Although the right decision has been made - you couldn't put out any old four riders and claim them to be Oxford Which was this.
