Okay, we've got a decent thread going regarding music clips on youtube, but what about one for speedway clips? I'll start the ball rolling with a super race from Lakeside versus Coventry: uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ZM_2jJCbgnUA hugely controversial race in during the derby clash between Unia Tarnow and Stal Rzeszow in 2007: uk.youtube.com/watch?v=HTti2Fr8Dj0In the re-run, ordered by the referee after the Start Marshal brought the chequered flag down after just three laps in the first running, our hero managed to join Tomasz Gollob for a 5-1 over Nicki P (I laughed, our beloved First Lady didn't).

Curiously, both of Reading's Swedish world champions won the Racers a title and buggered off the following year. Anders Michanek led the Racers to the title in 1973 and was then forbidden by SVEMO from riding in Britain in his world championship year of 1974. Per Jonsson won the league with Reading in 1990 and the world championship, but couldn't agree terms with the Racers for 1991. All of which meant I didn't get to see Per Jonsson ride. Anyway, here's Anders Michanek winning the world title in 1974: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZZFHDI91h0www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4V82H4Qoqkwww.youtube.com/watch?v=td6OsZly7Ngwww.youtube.com/watch?v=uvS5_h6rmUENotice the uber-golem getting a taste of his own medicine in Ht 5 of 1974.

Gosh, that brought back some memories , Anders was awesome, and all those English riders . I was getting a bit worried that my memory had rose tinted specs on for a while, as the earlier races were a bit strung out, with little or no passing, but the latter races proved that indeed, the racing was fast and furious after all

"When the tape goes up, the bullshit stops." Is he not actually quoting from little Hans at that point?

"When the tape goes up, the bullshit stops." Is he not actually quoting from little Hans at that point? Yes, he is, but can you see the screaming imbecile or Kelvin Tatum MBE giving the quote in commentary?

Can't blame Bruce for doing that....Any good friend would do the same, the qualifying rounds meant nothing! Can anyone say "Joe Screen 2000"? Much bigger prize than the £1000 Overseas Final!

It sounds like the type of old Western that was shown on British television on Saturday afternoons in the good old days. The following click isn't strictly speaking speedway, but it's the semi-weird Grzegorz Walasek trying his hand at ice hockey: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLVwdpddIL0And on the subject of Walasek, I don't think he's agreeing with the referee in this conversation on the pits telephone: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TfhLniUNGY&NR=1
