He WAS injured. Unlike Lee Richardson with his comical "I couldn't get the van out of the drive" excuse. Or was he, as he managed to ride in the Polish GP just one week later? Kev, don't make me dwelve into this further and reveal the percentage of meetings that a certain other top rider, who rode for Eastbourne, missed in 2007. Crump has been loyal to British Speedway over the years. There's little doubt over that. And look at the way he always put his name forward for testimonial meetings, I admire that.

Nicki Pedersen's attendance record has nothing to do with this discussion Genghis.....the fact is Crump doesn't have quite as much sun shining out of his arse as you'd like us to believe. Just for the record, Crump had an alarming spill in Poland on the Sunday before the ELRC and had broken his knee-cap. I accept this must have been a very painful injury, but nevertheless he did record that paid maximum at Swindon 24 hours prior to the ELRC, which would suggest he could have ridden had he wanted.

What a crock of shit, Jason Crump has been loyal to whatever HE wants and thats as far as it goes, when he decided Poole were not going to be champions in 2007 he decided they could fuck off, when he did'nt fancy the 2007 ELRC he decided they could fuck off, and when it became apparent the British league would not boost his bank account as much as other leagues for the up-coming season he decided we could all fuck off. He is no different to the likes of Robinho and Arsharvin. Loyalty to British speedway my fucking arse.

Kev, I don't think Crump has the sun shining out of his arse, in fact once upon a time I couldn't stand the bloke (and this was still the case during 1998, when he rode for Oxford). I did change my mind around 2003, though, when he took the very bitter blow of losing the World Championship that year in cruel circumstances with great dignity. And you're completly sunk Hatcham's theory, by coming up with a meeting in 2007 when Crump rode for Poole, despite having a broken knee-cap. ;D

I love the way you become all abusive when you've lost an argument. ;D Kev has proven Crump's loyalty towards Poole in 2007. He rode for them (and scored a maximum) despite a broken knee-cap. One fall and he cold have ruined his GP campaign for that year, but no, he insisted on riding for the Pirates.

And on your second point......on the contary, it actually supports Hatcham's theory, as Poole were paying him more for the meeting at Peterborough than he would have got (had he turned up) from the BSPA funded ELRC.

Personally speaking, I don't care whether riders compete in the ELRC - it's time passed a long time ago. Time to put it out of its misery.

On the contrary, it's time to resurrect the meeting by ensuring the riders who qualify do actually ride in the meeting, and then it will return to it's former glory.

Are they not Trumpo assets, or did the ink not have time to dry before Sandhu rode his charger back into Brandon and saved the drones from ignominy (sp!!)

OY, FUCK OFF YOU LOT ;D ;D ;D ELRC,WHO GIVES A TOSS. i'll try to answer the Trump thing for you Badge as best i can. Sandhu has always been the stadium owner but leased it last year. Now that Sandhu is back in charge at the speedway that lease is expired, i think so anyway. It's a bit of a tangled web as i think Oaksey & Pratty are back in charge of the team again but only 1 can be named at any given meeting, i'm not to sure if Trump still has involvement or not but his absence at a recent get together at Brandon was highly noted, i didn't take to the guy anyway, his pleasantries appeared false to me whereas Sandhu & Pratty are very genuine.I doubt we'll see much of him at all this year. As for the Ben & Bomber question, It's Sandhu that brought Chris, but yes Ben & Sitera we're acquired under the Trump lease period

Booey, stop trying to hijack this thread. Kev - I agree. It's time for the ELRC to be restored to its former status. I would suggest a clause in a rider's contract, where it states that they MUST ride in the ELRC and be docked three matches wages. You can best no-one would miss it then.

You can best no-one would miss it then. I'd 'best' some of them might try to score fewer points to avoid it.

Hatcham - given the strength of the EL in 2009, they'd have to drop a hell of a lot of points if they were a top rider. And points = ££££££, so I can't see many riders going down that route. Did Booey say something?
