Did he really need to take on a DU role when already with a 3 teams already. I mean i doubt it would of hindered his career riding for 3 teams. It wont be every meeting for the Aces i know but it just adds another potential for injury. His schedule aint the best either as has been mentioned he is in Poland on Sunday, EL when needed Monday, Sweden Wednesday and up at Edinburgh Friday.

If push comes to shove I'm not sure THJ will have much loyalty with his Polish team. By all accounts they treated him like shit last year when he was injured, and with the big bucks drying up in Poland this season/next season I wouldn't be surprised if he put his British teams ahead in priority.

Well it was already mentioned that this season Edinburgh will come second to his U-21 duties only. So on the club front Edinburgh will get him when needed. Cant remember where i saw this most likely the Chatzone.

I was under the impression that Thomas' Polish team were still putting very heavy demands on him, and that was part of the issue for why it took so long to get his pen on paper for the Monarchs again...but that could just be an unsubstantiated rumor.
I didn't know anything about him being treated like shit once he was injured, he certainly paid a heavy price for sleeping in and missing an earlier league match with Gorzow.
As far as him not needing to take a DU role...you have to suspect that he doesn't need it, and probably wasn't overly interested in it. I can't imagine that BV were the first EL to speak to him about it. It sounds like they are only looking for him appearing occasionally when Boxall isn't available, and that maybe had some appeal to him, whereas as a more regular slot didn't.

Then why did he sign for them again? If push comes to shove, I'd imagine that Gorzow will get first call on Jonasson's services, whether he likes it or not - I'm not altogether convinced young Jonasson has that much say in the matter.

I think he is trying to race through the levels so having as many clubs as possible means that he can be seen by alot more people in one season.

Totally agree. If Gorzow re-arrange a fixture that clashes with a Monarchs match, I would expect him to be appearing in Poland that day. Similarly, if Vetlanda re-arrange a fixture to clash with one of ours, I would expect him to be appearing in Sweden. Edinburgh can say what they like about our fixtures coming second only to Under 21 commitments (and he will have plenty of those) but if it came down to it, his big clubs that pay him the big money WILL have first call on his services.

Maybe, or maybe he or his father have been a bit smarter in their contract negotiations this time around. Or maybe I'm just talking out of my arse.

Or you could say that he has made it to the top in Poland and Sweden so showing face more in the UK will help him to the EL faster than riding Poland or Sweden.

Maybe, or maybe he or his father have been a bit smarter in their contract negotiations this time around. I'd say that a more likely scenario is that Gorzow would be smarter in the contract negotiations - they're an ambitious club and won't want a fiasco like the "sleeping in" affair of last season. And SVEMO will ensure that Jonasson doesn't let his commitments to his Swedish side come behind Britain in his list of priorities. Or you could say that he has made it to the top in Poland and Sweden so showing face more in the UK will help him to the EL faster than riding Poland or Sweden. Made it to the top in Poland and Sweden? Where on earth do you get the idea that Jonasson has done that? Britain is the easiest to let down. Spin some flannel about your nasty Polish club forcing you to ride for them and British clubs and fans seem to swallow it.

He rides in both top leagues. Yet he is still to break into the UK EL proper therefore he has reached the top in Poland and Sweden as he as a team place with a club in the top league of both countries is what i meant. I didnt mean he dominates them leagues.

I didnt mean he dominates them leagues. He's ridden in the Polish top league for one season and he rode the whole season as a "junior", which equates to reserve in this country. This coming season will be his last as a "Junior". We'll have to wait and see how well he manages as a "senior" in years to come. I'm not as convinced about the merits of Jonasson as some people over here. He has talent, to be sure. He may be Sweden's brightest talent at the moment, but that doesn't mean a whole lot, since Sweden seems to be almost as bereft of talent as Britain.

He is still a regular in the top leagues reserve or not. I myself am no great fan of his. Im merely putting forward my ideas as to why he has yet again given himself a season with 4 clubs

It's more a question of if he will be allowed to push Poland to the back of priorities bearing in mind things that happened there last season. Poland pay in advance and therein lies the problem. Whilst I wish THJ well and I realise you can't stop riders earning a living I am not too happy to see him double up. He was concerned last season about the amount of meetings and travelling he had to do and the tiredness that brought him and now he has just added to it. [ Spin some flannel about your nasty Polish club forcing you to ride for them and British clubs and fans seem to swallow it. And you know it to be flannel do you?

And you know it to be flannel do you? Well, he re-signed for Gorzow, didn't he? They can't have been that bad, can they? I'm sure that other clubs in Poland would've been interested in Jonasson, Torun - reigning champions, for example, were on the lookout for a rider to take the place of Holder.
