Jeez....I have said it before, but I'll say it again....Speedway riders get injured and they miss meetings because of injuries, but they have to come back at some point.
If you have time off work sick, do you expect people to have a go at you on your return because you are in work that day but weren't there the previous day?
Some riders DO take the piss and constantly race elsewhere while missing their UK commitments claiming injury, but the rest of the World's riders shouldn't be judged by the behaviour of these guys...

Come on, hw, Wolbert has form in this area, or have you forgotten his earlier transgression when he missed Edinburgh meetings through "illness" and then managed to ride in a German championship meeting? To remind you, that was just after the hypocrite-in-chief JDC had one of his centre green rants against Adrian Rymel missing a meeting at Edinburgh.

It looks like Edinburgh have replaced the invisible Swede with the invisible German.

Same way BV had a facility for Tomicek probably, both teams not taking the PO seriously. Wolbert was never listed to ride in the re run scottish open so i guess he would have told edin he was unavailable for this friday when he signed on to ride for edin.

So why was a facility used in Wolbert's place? If he wasn't injured, then he was withholding his services, and should serve a 28-day ban at the start of next season.

As it was a rearranged fixture i doubt there is any chance of a ban for withholding services as that was the only day it could be run.
However if Edinburgh knew Wolbert couldnt make Friday i have no idea why they didnt admit that and just concede the home leg last saturday and do the end of season stuff then and then run the Open as planned.

His previous absence was a completely different scenario, and if you don't understand why I'd be very surprised. I am sure a medical certificate was provided for Kevin for Friday, as he WAS injured.

It wasn't a completely different scenario at all - Edinburgh's management claimed he was "ill" and yet he rode a day or so later in that German meeting, the same as Minimum Dilger. Just the usual shameful stuff we have come to expect from Edinburgh's management.
