I live on it very happily thank you. And with a promoter on the BSPA Management Committee ensuring that your team get the rub of the green, why wouldn't you be happy?

Nice to see you taking a balanced view Mr Sub! The ref made an error, get over it - or perhaps encase the ref in concrete at the new Armadale rail halt? What mix is best for burying referees? Monarchs have sufferred from refereeing errors too this season, the meeting with the trainee idiot Dishington in charge springs to mind!

We're using a very good C32/40 S4 mix for the piling - that would be suitable, although probably far too good for the cretins the SCB has for referees. That clown from Friday should really be encased in tar and feathers - that wasn't just an "error", it was nothing less than gross incompetence, or something worse. Such a howler can't be a "honest mistake". It's just not possible.

The Scotwaste Monarchs are pleased to welcome back 18 year old Kalle Katajisto who last rode for the club in 2007. The young Finn was very inexperienced in those days but had showed enough potential to be recommended by Kaj Laukannen, also a Monarch in the latter half of 2007. Kalle comes in to the team to replace Byron Bekker who had asked to stand down from the side. He will ride in the Premier Playoff Final first leg match against either King’s Lynn or Birmingham at Armadale on Friday. These two sides race the second leg of the semi-final at King’s Lynn on Wednesday night. www.edinburghspeedway.com

EDINBURGH 'Scotwaste' MONARCHS...48
1. Ryan Fisher 3,3,3,2¹,F = 11+1 2. Michal Rajkowski R/R = 3. Andrew Tully 3,2,1¹,3 = 9+1 4. Matthew Wethers (c) 2¹,F,3,2,3 = 10+1 5. Kevin Wölbert 3,2,2,3,3 = 13 6. Aaron Summers Ret,1¹,0,1,XU,Ex = 2+1 7. Kalle Katajisto 2,F,1¹,Ex,0 = 3+1
KINGS LYNN 'Warnes Transport' STARS...41
1. Darcy Ward 2,3,3,1,2 = 11 2. Kozza Smith R/R = 3. Emiliano Sanchez Ex,3,Ex,2,1¹ = 6+1 4. Chris Schramm (c) 1,F,F = 1 5. Ty Proctor 1¹,1¹,3,0,1¹ = 6+3 6. Linus Eklöf 1¹,Ex,1,0,1¹ = 3+2 7. Jan Graversen 3,2,2,2,1,2,2 = 14
Very disappointed with last night's result. The weather affected track was a great leveller and gating was of the outmost importance and where we were positively crap out of the gate most races the King's Lynn lads were much slicker.
Some of the refereeing decisions were laughable. Katajisto's exclusion for "not making a bona fide attempt to race" surely was the worst. He obviously had problems as he drew back at the gate then pootled round to the second bend whilst looking down and fiddling with his bike. Yes he looked up and saw someone had gone down and seemed to fire up again but how does Mr McGregor know for definite Kalle hadn't got the bike firing properly? And talking of not making a bona fide attempt to race.... Eklöf was guilty of that on two occassions but that was ignored. The other interesting decision was when Summers and Sanchez (who fell most of the night) made contact on the first bend. Summers is excluded yet in heat 3 Schramm was allowed to cause carnage and be let back in the rerun.
I guess you have just got to bite the bullet when it goes against you.
The main reason KL got so close was down to Graversen. He was allowed to run riot at reserve with Summers having another god awful meeting with bike problems yet again!
It was great to finally see Darcy Ward show us what some of us haven't seen this season and when he gated he was quick and classy. Sanchez spent most of the night on his butt. Schramm was out of control. Proctor was okay if he got to the front. Eklöf was very disappointing (thank goodness) and Graversen stepped up to the mark and was very good.
For us, R/R was a bridge too far with little imput from the reserve berth.
Hats of to both teams in what were less than ideal conditions.
I will be there supporting my team on Wednesday but in all honesty this tie is dead and buried now.

And it looks like the Heathen Open won't be happening this season, as today's postponed meeting between Edinburgh and Belle Vue will be re-staged next Friday.

Is that so Paulco. Probably one of the worse performances by the Monarchs ever, KK and Hougaard apart BV were beatably but falls and withdrawls and pure bad form condemned the Monarchs to an embarrassing loss.

And with a promoter on the BSPA Management Committee ensuring that your team get the rub of the green, why wouldn't you be happy? So how do you explain the KOC final ref then sube? MC didnt help this time.
