Damian Balinski is a class act, who honurs his contracts - neither of which can be said for Lukas Dryml!!!! Lukas Dryml DOES honour his contracts - but ONLY when he's being paid. ;D ;D He's also won two British Elite League championships - whereas Balinski has cost Swindon one. So you're saying Matt Ford wasn't paying him when he rode for Poole and Steve Purchase wasn't paying him when he rode for Oxford........oh come on genghis, I think you're clutching at straws now And interestingly, those two BL championships were in the years I'm refering too................. the very same years he got the nickname 'R/R'............. maybe the fact that Poole and Oxford won the league those years was down to the fact he didn't ride in the majority of their meetings?

Kev - now YOU'RE the one clutching at straws, as you know full well that Lukas had genuine injuries in both 2001 and 2003, remember the accidents with Peter Karlsson at King's Lynn and Poole, plus that sickening crash in the 2003 Slovenian GP. It was Lukas's improvement in both 2001 and 2003, each time putting around two points on his average, that went a long way to winning Oxford and Poole their titles. I also thought you were quite knowledgeable, so the lack of knowledge shown in your posting above is surprising. I think you're just playing devil's advocate, and you know full well that Lukas did play a major part in winning two Elite League championships, even if injuries sadly meant he couldn't ride on the nights that the championships were clinched. P.S. I think we may have to agree to disagree on this one - I can't see us ever agreeing on the subject of Saint Dryml. ;D ;D

Perhaps if you spent some of your youtube time looking at clips of Balinski instead of Gemma Atkinson and Kelly Brook you'd see what I mean. Schumi, I don't think I want to see Balinski taking a bikini shower. ;D ;D

Schumi, I've taken your advice but it isn't going very well. For instance: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLGYIHWwi64&feature=relatedBalinski goes backwards from 1st to 3rd, while Nicki pulls exactly the same move on Balinski on the final bend as Hans did on Nicki in the GP when Nicki threw a tantrum. So Balinski is shite and Pedersen is a hypocrite. ;D Got any videos when Balinski goes forwards rather than backwards.

Schumi, But the first one is the one I've already watched. So the reason you love Balinski is that he gates and goes backwards because he doesn't ride a sensible line?

The latest from the promotion, taken from speedwayworld: SWINDON co-owner Gary Patchett has issued a warning about the potential problems associated with a reduced Elite League points limit. Patchett says that if the Robins have to bring in replacements for some of their top riders because they cannot be fitted into the side, those riders may not simply be loaned out to their rivals. The Blunsdon club, who finished second in all three major competitions in 2007, have already signed skipper Leigh Adams and were always set to make changes lower down their order - but a proposed reduction of around four points to the limit is likely to force a complete re-think. Patchett said: "It's not something we're in favour of and neither will the Coventrys, Pooles and Peterboroughs of this world. "If it does happen, it is going to be as a result of the teams at the lower end of the table ganging together to get what they want at the expense of the successful teams. "But these clubs need to remember, we might not want to loan our riders out. The price they have to pay for imposing a very low average limit on our team-building plans is that if they want our riders, they are going to have to buy them. It's not a foregone conclusion that assets are going to be loaned out just to make everyone's life easier."Seems, promoters issuing threats this year is becoming the norm

Fight the Power!
Getting ugly already and it isn't even December. I reckon they had some PR advice from WWF wrestling and its going to be drama-laden grudge matches all season in 2008.
I have yet to hear an adequate account of how the 2007 legacy averages will be dealt with if a new super-low points limit is introduced. Otherwise the richer clubs could and will, no doubt, introduce assets after 12 meetings to replace existing lower order riders on their shiny new inflated avergaes.
Sign a four pointer - let him ride 12 and become a 5.5 pointer - swap for 5.5 pointer and he should become a 7 pointer (very roughly and based on some consistency from previous season). So the bigger and badder - the more ruthles a club is after the first GS CMAs, the more likely they are to win. Who will that be? Well it now appears orthodox to say that Poole, PB, Swindon, Cov and maybe Wolves are the "big" clubs - so they will benefit most from this move. Gain?

Man you truly are deluded Badge - I prefer outspoken to deluded. ;D ;D But how come Scumacher retired as soon as he knew Kimi would be driving alongside him, then? It would have finally been a chance to see how Schumacher could cope with a highly competitive team-mate, and he bottled it and retired.
