Great? So 3 points from 5 riders, of which was gained by knocking off Smolinski, and being passed by Janniro, Smolinski, Johno, etc is great? Crappy overrated Pole. A one-track wonder who should stick to racing at Leszno, and not embarrass himself by riding in Britain again. Awww genghis, say it like it is mate, don't you be sitting on the fence now ;D

Lupus - Johno is a legend, who has inspired both Oxford and Coventry to league titles. Surely by applying the same logic, Johno must have also contributed to Oxford's demise this year then? Or are you going to blame that all on Horterjack?

Lupus - Johno is a legend, who has inspired both Oxford and Coventry to league titles. But failed miserably to inspire Torun to a league win over Balinski's Leszno - in fact, he failed to trouble the scorer. Mind you, what possessed Torun to sign him for that meeting escapes me totally.

Nonsense, Johno was carrying us earlier this season. Or are you going to blame that all on Horterjack? I think I will.

Well, as I don't give a fuck about Polish Speedway, who cares? ;D ;D You should. You're so insistent Balinski is a "crap Pole" but haven't done any homework.

Schumi - on the contrary, I'm well aware of what Balinski has done in Poland - I saw a league meeting at Leszno in 2005, and he certainly caught the eye when watching the World Cup on Sky this year. But quite frankly, I don't give a shit about Polish Speedway or international speedway. What interests me first and foremost is BRITISH SPEEDWAY, and Balinski has been crap in that. It's sadly the way things are in this country - we foam at the mouth about the achivements of foreigners, while ignoring our own talent. I believe British is best.

The Balinski I saw against Coventry had three outstanding rides, with one dubious exclusion - we saw the following week the same situation, but not the same refereeing decision. And as has been pointed out to you, he's only had a handful of meetings in this country, so you should at least give him a chance. If British is best why do you insist on banging on about a certain Czech endlessly? As it is, although you might not like the foreign leagues, we could learn a thing or two from their format, system and rules. To dismiss them out of hand is wrong and narrow minded. I'm not saying you shouldn't have an opinion, just that yours is based on, by your own admission, one meeting.

He should have been scoring 12-15 in every meeting from reserve, that he wasn't showed he didn't care too much about British Speedway, and therefore I don't care too much about him. I don't dismiss foreign leagues out of hand, in a 2005 Oxford programme, after my trip to Leszno, I raved about the Polish league format. BUT I don't care for those who take the piss out of British Speedway and Balinski is a prime example. Surely as a fan of Balinski's Polish form, you can't be happy with the way he failed to perform over here?

Well that depends on your definition of "failed" because I don't think he did. When I say he's genius I mean he's pure entertainment. Yes he has bad rides, but so does everyone, and he also has some rides that are pure class.
Not sure why you think he's taking the piss. He helped out Swindon when they needed him, and has stated he doesn't want to ride here. By my book that's honest and straight-forward.
Perhaps if you spent some of your youtube time looking at clips of Balinski instead of Gemma Atkinson and Kelly Brook you'd see what I mean.

If you really want a prime example of someone who takes the piss out of British Speedway - look no further than the other Damian............ you know, the one who hasn't turned up at Lakeside for years now, and it's also some time since he's been seen at Foxhall........... that's taking the piss!!! Damian Balinski is a class act, who honurs his contracts - neither of which can be said for Lukas Dryml!!!!
