I thought it was amusing. Ah well, maybe only egghead challengers can appreciate it. No, to be fair, I thought it was fairly witty too.

It's unlikely that Damian Balinski will return after his cameo appearance towards the end of the season, but you never know. Balinski was rubbish when he rode for Swindon this season, why would anybody in their right mind want him back again.

So, when I twisted the quote to mean someone who is anywhere between 106 and 170 years old Nah, Leigh Adams can't be that old, otherwise he'd have rode at Arena during Ronnie Russell's spell in charge there.

Because if someone assembles a team of similar quality to the one Oxford tracked in the EL earlier this year..........he'd be a ready made heat leader.

Nah, Balinski isn't in the same class as Steve Johnston, Lubos Tomicek or Ricky Kling

Nah, Balinski isn't in the same class as Steve Johnston Too right. Balinski has class. Johno's arrival transformed Coventry into a league winning outfit. Balinski's arrival ensured that Swindon would only finish as runners-up. I wouldn't swap 10 Balinskis for one Steve Johnston.

Maybe in Poland but not here just like most Poles. Cut the guy some slack - he's had, what, 3-4 meetings in the UK?

And those meetings he did ride in were in the play-off semi-final, play-off finals and KO Cup Finals, so no pressure there!!

Truth is Balinski has been exposed as a one-track wonder, great around Leszno, but crap around everywhere else. Still can't believe how bad he was around Swindon when I saw him - he didn't even have the excuse it was his first meeting around there. Yet another overrated Pole.

Taken from speedwayworld: SWINDON co-owner Gary Patchett says that two of the club's most popular riders may be forced to leave if the Elite League points limit is drastically cut. Reports from several areas of the League are suggesting a drop of around four points from the 2007 figure of 42.5, with Eastbourne indicating the possibility of a limit set just below 38.5. That would force Swindon into having to shed more than nine points from their team total which completed the season, a figure which was around a point higher than champions Coventry due to a series of landslide home wins. The Robins, runners-up in all three competitions this year, have already signed captain Leigh Adams on a two-year deal, but he takes up 10.30 of the points allocation, and that would raise severe doubts over Lee Richardson (with an average of nearly eight) and Charlie Gjedde (over seven). In addition, Swindon tracked Sebastian Ulamek, also over seven, in 2006 and 2007, although he is not an asset of the club. Bottom club Belle Vue finished this year with a team total of just over 39.5. Patchett said: "We're in that horrible position again where it's an 'either or' or maybe neither of them. Who knows where we are going to go? It's a pity, but you could say we are spoiled for luxuries. "It's not every team that has got three seven-point riders and a six-point rider and they don't know how many - if any - they are going to be able to accommodate this year. "We've got permission to speak to two or three other riders, but we're still waiting for an average limit. We think we know what it's going to be - but anything can happen between now and the conference day. The one thing the BSPA are good at is changing their minds at the last moment."Crazy springs to mind

Balinsi looked great around the Abbey and promising at Cov Great? So 3 points from 5 riders, of which was gained by knocking off Smolinski, and being passed by Janniro, Smolinski, Johno, etc is great? Crappy overrated Pole. A one-track wonder who should stick to racing at Leszno, and not embarrass himself by riding in Britain again.
