Crump, Pedersen (Nicki, not the other one), Jonsson, Kasprzak
Edit: hoping genghis will give us a report of the Nicki v Hans incident.
And what happened to Zabik - seems he's withdrawn after a fall. Hope he's okay.

Seems Nicki " the fence " has prevailed . Beating Jonsson , Nicholls and Adams in the final . Encouraging meeting for Chris Holder also , but a shocker from Bomber .

Well done to Nicki...not a surprise that one.. I'm delighted for Scott, coming third...at least I got two of my predictions in the final... I'll be interested to hear what Genghis has to say about the nightmare that bomber had , jesus Rory wasn't much better either, think we need to try and forget today...and quick

Because that was too bad to be true . Poo boy , on the other hand , is just cack .

And despite the constant bollox being spouted by Shovlar on BSF about tickets almost being sold out, people queing up to get in at 10am this morning, blah blah blah... it's been reported that the crowd was a lot lower than expected and the "Full House" signs weren't required.
Sounds like it wasn't a classic meeting in anycase, normal gate & go tripe served up at Wimbourne Road.
Why do promoters put on these big meetings, with top riders and huge prize money if they can't get the track in a condition that will provide the riders with something on which they can entertain the fans who have forked out a minimum of £25 to watch it.

It's because of all the bollocks spouted that I didn't consider going...and I'm bloody glad I didn't waste my money.

Good job Matt Ford isn't a member on here then Jacques, he may well have a prime candidate for Flapperjack of the week if he was! ;D

Always going to be a struggle to get a good track this early in the season. But the only chance of getting a half-decent field together is ahead of Poland and Sweden kicking in.

It seems it's always a struggle to get a good track surface at Wimbourne Road at any part of the season Sube! Can only remember one meeting there where the racing was good, & that was the SWC semi a few years back - then again, I got freebie tickets for that so wasn't that bothered about getting value for money.

But it sort of illustrates my point about the sport's biggest problem being the "on track" action - Poole have actively promoted this meeting, but it looks like they didn't bother to think about what sort of entertainment they'd be providing. You can't just put together a great line-up and hope for the best - you have to give them a track they can race on.

Some rather harsh comments there - one of the few problems I find with updates is that people judge a meeting based on a handful of texted words and from the gate is one of the worst. I didn't even get to see all four laps of all the races, but i did seem enough to be able to say it wasn't as bad as seems to be being portrayed. There were some cracking encounters in there - might not have always been for first place, but plenty of dicing and swapping of positions and i'll certainly be buying the DVD - if I felt it was crap I wouldn't be doing that and I've no qualms at admitting it if it was.
Take the final - Nicki theoretically had it 'from the gate' but 2rd 3rd and 4th you could throw a blanket over for 2 or 3 laps and it could've gone any way. A great race. Sure there were a few processional ones, but it wasn't all bad - certainly better than some meetings I've seen.
For the first meeting of a season, after the track has been dormant for 4 months, and with the weather looking iffy, I was actually impressed at the quality of some of the racing dished up.
