Of course, what I failed to add though, Badge, is that your husband obviously can also have very good taste at times - as he showed when you married you. What a creep I am at times, eh?Indeed you are thank goodness

Looking at the Speedway Star website and the preview of tomorrow's edition, it looks like Nicki could be in the shit.

Why ? you may thinks it's ok to cheat the paying public i and many others don't . If you allowed people to do deals on races what sort of message are you sending out . I don't see why nicki is the one in trouble thou all four are as bad as each other .

And where precisely has anyone got any evidence that Nicki instituted the convo about splitting the winnings? If anyone is in the shit, it should be all four riders in the final, but that would involve Leigh Adams, who can do no wrong and Scott Nicholls, who is British . Not sure why AJ should be let off ;D

Because IMO it was a fair gentlemen's agreement. It was silly to allow that amount on a final. Do you think there was some kind of agreement on the positions of the 4 riders then as well?

Who cares what positions the riders came in seeing they 15 k each it did not make and diffence weather you came 4th or 1st thats the whole of the deal that they done . In horse racing for example if 4 jockeys done of these gentlemens agreement as you say and they were found out they would never being able to ride again .

I keep reading about 'generous gestures' and 'what does it matter' and what is all the fuss about? If only it were so simple as that.
Regrettably, it does not really matter if those four riders rode the hardest race of their career's to win - if its true that it was agreed that they would share the pot of one of the largest monetary prizes for an event in speedway history, prior to the actual race result and irrespective who ever thought of it first, it will be still regarded as collusion and therefore, its tainted the race, tainted the meeting and tainted the sport.
Its a professional motor sport, involving the very top competitors with a very large amount of money involved.
I sincerely hope that there has been a very big mistake if only for the sake of the sport. If not, it would be extremely naïve to assume that there could not be serious repercussions.
