Not sure I agree with the argument that green and blue get confused though - people always used to say yellow and white were too similar, especially on tele. And then what happens if the rider in yellow is on a tactical ride, assuming they keep the black and white helmet rule?

Doesn't bother me, but my friend Alan is colour blind and really struggles at each meeting with the green and blue.......

Not sure I agree with the argument that green and blue get confused though - people always used to say yellow and white were too similar, especially on tele. As a partially colour blind person, green is harder to distinguish under floodlights than white. Red and green are the colours that most colour blind people have difficulty with, so it doesn't make sense to use both of them. I'd agree yellow helmet colours are a problem when it's one of those horrendously shiny all yellow affairs. However, that's why black was originally part of the colour. Regardless of the ins and outs though, is this really something deemed worthy of taking up time at the conference? Surely there are more important things to discuss?

Interesting mix of promoters there. Glad Tony Mole has been elected as president.

News filtering out of the AGM suggests that Birmingham will remain in the Premier League, as all current Elite League clubs have confirmed they will continue in 2010.

It's been confirmed that the white helmet colour will be reintroduced for the new season.

It's been confirmed that the white helmet colour will be reintroduced for the new season. Hooray!!! Makes it much easier to identify the riders - blue and green were too similar. Are they also going back to yellow & black?

Are they also going back to yellow & black? Nothing has been said about that, but they did state that the white colour is coming back to 'fall in line' with other countries, and both Sweden and Poland have yellow...not yellow & black.

God, we have had to wait 10 years to reverse, the green back to white, don't confuse the issue by expecting a double change I'm sorry but after the announcement that Matt Ford is now Vice Chairman of the BSPA, this is a promoter who 6 months ago, along with his club were under investigation for average fixing, fairly serious allegations after all, I can't get excited or really too interested in what might come out of their piss up.....once again they have missed the opportunity to have independent leadership, instead let's promote the bad boy to a position of importance to oversee the "fairplay" activities of his fellow promoters....you just can't make it up can you
