Anyone else think that Cookie being banned [edit - having his posts pre-approved] by a new (Poole-supporting?) BSF mod seems worthy of a nomination? Stinks IMO.

I didn't think he was banned, just that his posts have to be approved before posting. There is a slight difference If you join a forum with moderation, you accept the rules and the actions of the moderators, if you don't like it set up your own forum....that's my view anyway.

Banned or on Mod approval, either way it stinks. Personally, I think Cookie is amusing, never rude, obnoxious, attacking posters rathen than the post or swearing, his only crime being that he got up the noses of the Poole supporters on BSF, and one who self styles himself to be the wind up king in particular.

It seems like the BSF is only worth visiting if you're a Poole or Coventry supporter these days. Say anything about those particular clubs and their pet moderators will 'deal' with you! Pathetic. I have to admit I did find Cookie's constant Poole baiting a tad tedious but I find the back button quite useful if I get fed up of reading stuff by certain posters!!!

I find BSF a tad tedious as a whole at the moment.
It's gone from one extreme to the other - I got my wrist slapped for referring to Terry Russel as the Orange One a short while back and others did likewise for calling Matt Ford Marmite Matt.

Sorry - I didn't mean banned - though it can amount to the same thing.
Shame Phil's not an EL fan and doesn't really (AFAIK) read that section. Not sure why he picked who he did. Some decent chaps/chapesses on there who'd do it well.
They are only really needed for the all out "emergencies" - full on threats, random freaks like ExGen, external "real world" legal threats/injunctions to the forum admin (if these ever actually happen?), and those odd quirks (like the time someone posted rape/assault allegations against a named rider a few years back).
I thought they could have had a dozen or so with basic mod privileges for these cases with only one or 2 needed for the more fundamental stuff. Nobody even needs to know who has the Mod status.

Pretty simple for me, Mr Bridger.
He has managed to prove most of his critics wrong on track, but still has some way to go off track. Also, him losing his passport has cost him dearly. 2 British match ban, 2 week suspension from racing abroad and a fine of £5000. At least he will never lose it again, you would hope.

So am I Zonkers And yet some Eastbourne fans believe him and are ok with him racing in Poland, as he couldn't get back to england. He was out there so why not. And us losing at Belle Vue is Geers fault for not getting a proper replacement, nothing to do with the fact it was Lewis's fault he had to get a replacement in the first place. For those that regularly go to Poland, are there many flights from Poland to England in a day or would the 5.50am one that he missed be the only one?

I'll wager the little scallywag used to claim a dog ate his homework - leaving your passport behind in a restaurant is just about as plausible. It's far more likely that Bridger saw a chance to impress his Polish employers, who have consistently chosen Woffinden ahead of him this season. He's always wittering on about how he wants to make it in Poland. Here was an ideal opportunity, with Tai Woffinden racing where he should've been racing on Monday (that's to say Wolverhampton). But, as it turned out, Bridger managed just three points and two exclusions (one for 2 minutes and one for tapes) - hardly impressive stuff. Personally speaking, I'd have had his license suspended and him banned from riding in Britain for five years. This two meeting ban in Britain and two week ban from riding on the continent is nothing.

There are lots of flights between Poland and England each day. Some flights were clearly full though, given the sky team didn't make it back in time for their coverage on Monday night. Please don't consider the notion that any effort was made to get to Manchester. It just clearly hasn't happened. I'm sure anyone busting a gut to get back could have found an alternative arrangement from one of the many airports. Rico

Rico Well that is exactly what I have been saying but I keep getting asked if I'm sure there were other flights.

Bridger had a flight to the UK though, pre booked and pre paid, no excuse for not being on that flight and in Manchester that evening.
As Bobby D has said in the press releases,
"Czestochowa were offering large guarantees just for riders to turn up and Lewis has big debts in this country,He probably saw the opportunity to wipe out 25% of his debts but he has got to understand how this all works.”
Bridger gets my vote
