So with John Campbell winning last week's award (as selected by Paulco) for his centre green tirade against the Chapmans to try to disguise his own stupid blunder, we move onto a fresh week.
Star Lady, would you like to pick our winner next Saturday?

Jason Crump - why the hell did he pass Kasprzak to allow them to use their joker?? But doesn't it say a lot about how the sport is perverted when you're nominating a guy as a flapperjack after executing a superb passing move. That's just wrong. It was a great piece of racing by Crump and it ended up costing his team the gold medal.

Jason Crump - why the hell did he pass Kasprzak to allow them to use their joker?? Oooogen, I reckon the Poles would have still won by a single point: Heat 23: Poles 2 to Australia 1 Heat 24: Poles 3 to Australia 0 Heat 25: Poles 3 to Australia 2 In any case, how can a rider be nominated as FOTW for a great overtaking move???

How do you work that out? Here's my working out: Ht 23..Lindback, Protasiewicz, Watt, Gafurov 3-1-0-2 (35-41-32-36) Ht 24..Hampel, Laguta, Jonsson, Batchelor 1-0-2-3 (36-41-34-39) Ht 25..Gollob, Adams, Gafurov, Ruud 0-2-1-3 (36-43-35-42)

The Aussies would have only been 4 points ahead in the first place had Crump not executed his pass in Heat 22. Means the Poles still win by a point, assuming that Pepe would have beaten Watt in Heat 23. Anyway, I would like to make a nomination for the FIM / BSI for not having proper equipment at a World Cup Final and also allowing the use of a Joker Bollocks rule in a World Cup Final, turning the whole event into It's A Knockout.

Jason Crump - why the hell did he pass Kasprzak to allow them to use their joker?? If Crump deserves a nomination it's surely for costing the Australians victory by apparently forcing Sullivan out of the equation. Sullivan and Crump have never seemed to get on. Perhaps Sullivan's "Jason who?" comment at Wroclaw in 2005 still rankles.

I think it might be the latter.

What actually happened that led to the Sullivan 'Jason Who? comment at Wroclaw?
My vote goes to BSI/IMG for arranging to re-run the SWC Final at 10am BST..............forcing me to sacrifice my ritual Sunday morning lie-in. How rude???

Wasn't that when Crump pulled out of the race off through illness and was replaced by Johnston? Johnston did well in a race and Sullivan was asked if the Aussies were missing the then world champion. It was a throw-away comment, really. Or was it after Sullivan won his first race in that meeting?
