Whilst we could claim that Schumi is Crumpie's sister. I don't think I have the right hair colouring.

One wonders if he's acting on instructions from his new paymasters to keep that PL average nice and low for next year. That would seem to be in keeping with the "new" Coventry way of doing things - I had hoped Sandhu would restore a bit of honour to the Coventry scene, but it doesn't look like it. And why do they insist on inflicting that pansy voice of Peter Oakes on us? Can't he at least try and talk like a man when he's on television?

He gives me the creeps, on TV or not. As for the Coventry way of doing things, there's a few tales to tell on that score over the years. In fact you can say that about most clubs. Perhaps one day I'll write my memoires - call it 'The Things That Shovvy Didn't Post' ;D

I thought horseplay was Rory's brother...but I might be wrong. I thought it was his brother as well, but only name-droppers have the answer, probably. It is his brother. Can I put name-dropper on my CV now please?

Your contradicting yourself Rico, you say, "my comment that Barcelona are one dimensional is laughable", but you then say "their defence isn't the best by any means" ? In a game where teams Attack and Defend, i would say any team that can only do one or the other IS one dimensional. You also are labouring under the misconception that i have some sort of fondness for Chelsea, be clear I absolutely DESPISE Chelsea and everything they stand for, there is not a team on the planet i dislike more than Chelsea, and i hope your correct and Barca give the boys in blue a pasting tomorrow night, however they(Barcelona) remain one dimensional and are the most over-rated team on the planet, if you read further back on the subject, i began this by highlighting how ludicrous it was that after they walloped Bayern Munich and Man utd had drawn at home to Porto, the bookmakers(who do tend to get carried away) had the Spaniards at 5/4(they are now 15/8) and Man U at a crazy 9/2(they are now as low as 11/8) I hope your right about Barcelona tomorrow, as it will give Man Utd an easier task in the final(oh and by the way i dont like them much either) Oh come on Hatcham - football surely has more dimensions than attack and defend. Even Sir Alex was talking on tv tonight how he was drooling over Barcelona's performance in the Bernadeau at the weekend (probably the thought of taking on their defence in the final) . Barcelona's brand of football this season has been sensational and a joy to watch 95% of the time. They've had times when teams have snuffed them out though, similar to how Chelsea did in the first leg. Barca are my cup of tea and I'd rather a team went out looking to score goals rather than with the sole intention of stopping the opposition score and nick one on the rare venture into their half - one thing is for sure Barca will be their usual pressing high up the pitch and be bloody entertaining. I wasn't suggesting you were a Chelsea fan (and if I did I thoroughly apologise for that). As for the bookmakers odds, the logic behind that is of course that Man Utd were considered to have a very hard task in the second leg of their 1/4 final, whereas Barca were already there - what odds would Barca have been if Porto had put Man Utd out ? These things fluctuate in line with expectations and I'm sure Utd were priced like that in the hope that they'd get turned over. If you got that 9/2 fair play to you, as I'm sure Utd at this present moment will be a tad shorter than that. Rico

Rico Ladbrokes, Hills, Coral, Paddy Power and Tote Sport all have Man Utd odd-on at 10/11. Lets hope tomorrows game is a good one, although i'm more looking forward to watching Shakhtar Donetsk on thursday. Have a good trip to Poland at the weekend.

I'll hopefully catch the Hamburg Bremen game on Thursday night - the game last week was fantastic.
I saw Hamburg at the Emirates pre-season and they had something about them so have watched them with interest this season. I hope their stylish play is rewarded with the UEFA Cup, but I'm guessing you won't agree with that.
Thanks for the good wishes.

Your right Rico, i dont agree with that, i backed Shakhtar Donetsk at 16/1 about 3 months ago, and even advised people on here to take an interest at 5/1 a few weeks ago in the UEFA Cup thread, so i'm with the Ukrainians.

I'm not convinced that either of the Ukranian teams would beat Hamburg in the final, but I will wish you well in your quest as I have no money riding on the event and am just looking at it from an enjoyment perspective. Of course the final is just a one-off match in a neutral venue, so it's more about who performs on the day, so if your team gets there I'd say your chance of success is around 50/50.

I would like to nominate Eric Boocock for the way he spoke to Charlie Webster when interviewed tonight. The BSPA are currently trying to negotiate an improved deal with Sky for their television coverage, and as a member of that organisation and an official at the meeting, I believe his arrogant and petulant outburst at Charlie was totally out of order.
He should be fined for his actions this evening and given the Flapperjack of the Week too, and then hopefully he be a little more approachable at any further televised meetings he's involved in, assuming that Sky now consider his opinion to be worthwhile listening to...... which personally I don't!

Remind me Kev, what did he say? I kind of switch off when the girl in the pits is on screen, she still looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights to me at the moment and doesn't hold my attention for long. I'll go for a nomination of anyone who objects to a bit of banter/harmless name calling of opposition riders. Maybe being a kid on the Smallmead terraces during the 70's/80's when Swindon or Oxford were in town toughened me up a bit, but ffs are things like "Poo Boy" or "Slime" really overly offensive? Poor little Nicki Pedersen must cry himself to sleep every night with all the things he's reguarly called.

I'll second that ! Thought he was a complete arse all night tbh. Didn't like the way he spoke to Tony Steele either.... not wanting him to look at the incident on the monitor, and suggesting Tony make judgement by what he saw, and not by the slow-motion replays. What a twit !
