Christ knows who the official complaint went to? Not, I suspect, Golem Drury, who would've probably have given a two word response, with the second word being "off". Possibly the BSPA or SCB?

I'd like to nominate guitar art on BSF for his constant nagging posts over the use of alleged swear words by Rob Lyon. He himself says Rob apologised but that apparently isn't good enough the idiot insists on putting in an official complaint!! To save me ploughing through all the shit on the BSF, can someone please tell me what Rob Lyon said and where?

He's one of these referees who has to make sure that everyone knows he's in charge, often by making a outlandish decision at some point during proceedings to grab attention.

I'll nominate Barcelona football club(the most over-rated team in world football) for moaning that Chelsea didn't 'roll over' and fall into the trap of the one dimensional Spanish side. They might find it piss easy to stick six past hapless sides like Real Madrid but facing a top English side is an altogether different prospect. Messi aside they are a very very average outfit. Rubbish. I delight in watching a team play football. They don't stick ten behind the ball and they have centre-backs who pass rather than hoof. I am all for the blood and thunder of English football but you need a little of European culture in with as well. Pique, Xavi and Iniesta are all world class too. The moaning from the players has been minimal. It's the Spanish Football Papers building up the game which eventually finds it's way into our papers.

I'm a lover of Spanish football (minus the histrionics) and will take great pleasure in seeing Chelsea getting dumped out the competition on Wednesday night. I find your comment about Barca being one dimensional laughable and calling them an very very average side really does you no favours. Barca play football the way it should be played, on the deck with intricate passing movements. Some of the goals they have scored this season have been breathtaking. To achieve what they have this season under a rookie coach is amazing and I found Phil Thompson's outrage on Soccer Saturday (similar to the above) laughable. Barca's display at the home of their great rivals was awesome on Saturday night. If my stats are remembered correctly, Real Madrid had, since their previous meeting with Barca played 18 league games and won 17 of them, so to turn them over was a fair achievement between Champions League semi finals matches. Didn't Chelsea complain about Premiership teams parking the team bus in front of their goals at Stamford Bridge 1 or 2 seasons ago. For the good of the game I hope Barca deliver a killer blow to save us from another snorefest final. Barca are geared up to be on the offensive and their defence isn't the best by any means, but give me that kind of football any day. Rico

I thought horseplay was Rory's brother...but I might be wrong. I'd like to nominate Peter Adams for looking like a complete and utter dickhead on live TV! I've long thought he was a prat but last night he just proved my point!

Maybe we could get Sub reinstated on the BSF by claiming he's Scott Nicholls dad. Whilst we could claim that Schumi is Crumpie's sister.

Rico Your contradicting yourself Rico, you say, "my comment that Barcelona are one dimensional is laughable", but you then say "their defence isn't the best by any means" ? In a game where teams Attack and Defend, i would say any team that can only do one or the other IS one dimensional. You also are labouring under the misconception that i have some sort of fondness for Chelsea, be clear I absolutely DESPISE Chelsea and everything they stand for, there is not a team on the planet i dislike more than Chelsea, and i hope your correct and Barca give the boys in blue a pasting tomorrow night, however they(Barcelona) remain one dimensional and are the most over-rated team on the planet, if you read further back on the subject, i began this by highlighting how ludicrous it was that after they walloped Bayern Munich and Man utd had drawn at home to Porto, the bookmakers(who do tend to get carried away) had the Spaniards at 5/4(they are now 15/8) and Man U at a crazy 9/2(they are now as low as 11/8) I hope your right about Barcelona tomorrow, as it will give Man Utd an easier task in the final(oh and by the way i dont like them much either)
