I know why you get there so early now? You call into that specialist shop in Oundle Road (we must miss each other) before hitting the EoES ;D Nah, don't bother with that one - there's one on my way, on the A1 !!!!

Is there a valid reason they've said it cant be staged on a Sunday? These special meetings I always think should be on weekends unless theres specific planning constraints on the track (i.e. at Birmingham, etc) but even then it may be worth applying for a one-off (though doubtless more hassle than its worth). You'll never get as bigger crowds week nights as at weekends, when travelling fans would be likelier to have time off work to attend. Exactly - and, in the case of this meeting, it's been put on for the three sets of away fans. A Thursday night is going to be particulary awkward for the Cradley fans. There doesn't seem to be a good reason from the BSPA why the Sunday date was refused.

Maybe Newport objected.

No. Newport had no problems with the meeting, as it would have been possible to do both.

Have just seen the comment on BSF regarding BSPA ruling Bloody ridiculous, Reading under BSI swapped & changed their race nights week by week, Somerset are riding on a Tuesday this week to accomodate Sky, that's not even their official 'off' night, BSPA had no problems with this. Who's choosing FOTW next Genghis?

I would like to nominate the BSPA for blocking the staging of the 4TT between Oxford, Swindon, Reading and Cradley at Blunsdon on Sunday, August 2. The meeting is still going ahead - but it's now on Thursday, July 30. If this doesn't win this week, then I'll ask Wacks to pick next week's winner. And who did pick the following weeks winner ?..............you've guessed it...........it was Wacks.........now is this abuse of the rules Genghis ?................and is this a charade ?

Yes it was (blantantly), but I was honest about it all along. If you are making up the rules as you go along, at least admit to it. That's my philosophy.

If i was looking to 'bend the rules' for my own ends Genghis, the greatest speedway rider that ever lived would already be among the list, one Mr Victor Duggan, but as yet he's not.........then again i am a "twat"
