Think the ELRC at Cov is the only one I'll be able to make. Poole would have been good - but it's not during school hols, and we'd have to stay over.....

Squirlie if a teams facilities are good enough to ride in a league they should be good enough to hold events for that league. Edinburgh would probably have to invest in there facilities before racing in the EL therefore i would never expect to see a EL standard event there. But we should see PL pairs PL 4TT etc it should be done on a rota basis

But how many actually want to stage these events?

I dont think any club would turn it down. Clubs are crying out for ways to make money and these events are another way to do that. So why should it only be held at the same 2/3 tracks

Because these events have to be applied for, so presumably it's the same old teams who are doing the applying. Fact is, these shared events aren't the great money-spinners you'd think they are, and a rain affected meeting (of which there have been many in recent years) usually ends up costing the hosting club money and has put most other clubs right off the idea.

Well stop it being application only and make it a mandetory rota basis. If you aint going to take your turn then you pay for the teams expenses that have to hold it in your place

If you aint going to take your turn then you pay for the teams expenses that have to hold it in your place But most of these events were never shared around. The British Final was at Coventry for decades, while the BLRC was at Belle Vue. Do you imagine that one of these events will be held at Edinburgh? I doubt Edinburgh would want it and could Armadale accommodate an air fence, which appears to be required these days? And look, no Swindon this season. I call that progress.

As i said above Sub the Edinburgh facilities aint appropriate for the EL so we shouldnt hold that level of event but the PL events could easily be held at Edinburgh. Edinburgh has good road access has better facilities than quite a few PL tracks and has a great track.
