But even given that the Continental Final was the easier of the two semi-finals, surely it was quite an achievement for a rider to win this meeting no fewer than four times. Was it not? What sort of nonsensical gibberish is that?

I aint read all the posts but i watched the video and from what you can make out. That being the speed that the soviet rider is moving away from the inside line. I came to the conclusion that the ref was hugely biased. Plech saw him coming and realised what it meant in terms of the title so he bail out and hoped the ref would side with him due to him being the home rider.
