Ok so the vote went 4 in favour 3 against.I'll leave you to denominate which promoters we're which. It doesn't take a genius to know the answer.Lupus i take my hat off to you. The post wasn't aimed specifically at her anyway Wacks, just wanted to let anyone who didn't already know what a tosser he is.

As Wacks says I know first hand what a complete and utter flapperjack CVS is! The fact that he is the one who changed his mind about the points limit does not surprise me one bit! I could tell you things about that prat that would make a bald man's hair curl! I think Sandhu is right about the points limit...38.5 or whatever is pathetic - what I don't like is his childish tactics - as the old sying goes - it's not big and it's not clever!

Some on the Bullshit Forum has suggested that Coventry WERE represented - just not by Sandhu. In which case he needs to pick up his fucking toys and stop trying the same old threats to get his own way. Don't you vent your spleen on me buddy.Guess who the back-stabbing so -called forward thinking turncoat of a promoter is that said 1 thing & done the opposite. Yeah! that's right fucking CVS.Sandhu has more honour in his little finger than that flapperjack. It does indeed look like CVS has been exposed as a total flapperjack if you read the article on pages 2 and 3 of this weeks Speedway Star.

A synopsis is available in a post by colincooke on the BSF thread on this subject. Basically, Avtar Sandhu claims CVS told him at the SRA dinner that Coventry's team should be allowed to remain in tact and that he'd convince other promoters. Then at last week's meeting, with the scores on the doors tied 3-all over 38.5 (Coventry, Peterborough and Lakeside having voted against 38.5), CVS used his casting vote, well, you guess which way he used it.

As I said in another post, there's far too much to type.........but to summarise CVS told Sandhu he believed Coventry should be allowed to keep their Championship winning team and that he'd campaign amonst the other promoters to allow this.
At the next BSPA meeting (with a few promoters missing) a vote was taken on a 38 point limit.......... the vote was even, but with CVS having the casting vote, a 38 point limit was voted for!!!!
The article is far more detailed than that, but that is the gist of it.

Still, I think Lakeside voting in favour of 38.5 would be in keeping with Jon Cook's answers in the "question and answer" session on the club's website. He says that he wants closer scores and more balanced teams and I'd guess that he sees a low limit as providing that.

Well when the hairdresser returns from his travels, surely he will vote against as well next week, so won't that be a win for the big boys

God this doesn't mean the PL will have to go down the same path does it ? This is the thing that seems to have been 'lost in the wash' Paulco, a 38.?? in the EL will put a lot of pressure on some goodish PL riders to step up (or for PL clubs to try and match the money being offered). Alternatively if promotion and relegation are really the way forward (not a chance in my book) then the EL 'weakening' may be one part of the jigsaw with a PL1 and PL2 with points limits of (say) 48 and 34 (PL07 points) being the other half
