Lakeside haven't seen much action lately as the weather rained off both their Craven Shield meetings, so it's good to see them back on track. They've been given the go-ahead to race at home on Saturday this weekend following the away leg at Brandon, so I'd expect a good attendance for both of these meetings. No official line-ups have been announced as yet, but I don't anticipate any major surprises.

You might expect it at Lakeside but I don't think the attendance at Coventry will be very big, judging by the number of people I know who won't be going, some due to a holiday but others from choice like my husband - miserable sod! ;D So will Andreas Jonsson be riding?

So will Andreas Jonsson be riding? This is just a guess, so don't quote me on it, but I'd think he'd be there Friday. Not sure about Saturday as he's riding in the Czech Golden Helmet in Pardubice on Sunday.

Just had a look at the start list for the Czech meeting and I'm assuming it's in the evening, therefore Andreas should be at both Lakeside and Coventry.
Well, put it this way - if he's not it would also affect Lubos (who I think is actually missing for one of these meetings anyway) Chris Harris, Smolinski, Johnno and Shields too, so I think it's safe to say we'd have heard about it. ;D

The Hammers are once again without our ever absent pole KK. We have Steady guesting at Brandon and Chris Louis at home. Both good guests.

It's my guess that we've seen the last of KK in Hammers' kevlars. It's such a shame a guy with all that talent has no committment to go with it........... so sad.

He was so fantastic to watch earlier in the season, it's such a shame that he seems to have given up on us. Still, if they drop the points total next year, we probably wouldn't have had room for him anyway.

He was so fantastic to watch earlier in the season, it's such a shame that he seems to have given up on us. Still, if they drop the points total next year, we probably wouldn't have had room for him anyway. Stan went on record earlier in the season, stating that Lakeside had opened preliminary talks with Poole, with a view to making KK a club asset. This indicated to me that we were going to build our team around him for next year, and no doubt future years after that. I now believe our future team planning won't include KK, and I'd doubt that many other British clubs would be too interested in him after seeing his reliability over the last couple of months. History suggests that to have a better than average chance of winning the World Championship, you have to compete in Britain. I think KK has done more damage to his career than he realises recently, and that in the long run it will be him, and not Lakeside, who is the loser!!

It's been about 10:00pm when I've been to Brandon - that's with an 8:00pm start.

Round about 10pm when it's an 8pm start, depending on there being no delays of course, then it could be midnight. ;D Hope you enjoy your visit to Brandon. Snap Subedei! At least we both agreed on the same time, but since when have you been a Coventry fan?
