Andreas Jonsson kept Lakeside in with a remote chance with another awesome display on his old stomping ground 18pts max. As Belle Vue found out with Crump tho one man don't make a team. And as Poole found out, two men don't make a team either!

The Speedway Star says that Lakeside tried to sign a rider as a short-term replacement for Joonas Kylmakorpi for the cup semi finals, but the BSPA and the rider's parent club blocked it. It was actually the riders' 'parent' club and the 'Management Committee' who blocked the move - thanks for nothing Chris Van Straaten.
