Belle Vue did confirm some months back that Jason Crump will be at Belle Vue in 2009. I think they announced this when they re-signed him from Poole.
I'd add Billy Forsberg and Patrick Hougaard to that list too. Nothing confirmed yet but strong indications that deals for 2009 with the 2 scandinavian youngsters have been completed.

Pretty Damn correct I recon - I understand from speaking with certain promoter last Saturday night that Tai is definately looking to ride in the EL next year (Wolves) - Just depends upon whether the BSPA allow U21's to double up in 2009 as to whether we see him back at Rye House next season.

So 5 of the top 8 GP riders not riding in the UK then. That may grow further if Jonsson decides to give the UK a miss in 2009 and the rumours about Andersen not riding in the UK next season are also true.
Is it such a bad thing that these top GP riders are slowly but surely moving away from British league speedway? Some form of continuity may return to UK fixtures without them & new hero's will soon be found.

I am getting sick to death of seeing the top SGP stars muller the average EL rider week in week out and up to 8 times a season...! ON a bright note Scotty Nicholls could become the Elite League number 2 in 2009!! That'll please Sube no end!! ;D
