And speaking of Kasprzak, I watched the SWC final again last evening and was struck by an interview he gave to Chris Louis. Kasprzak seemed to suggest he was using the same engine as for the race-off, but that his father Zenon had been putting in the hours between meetings tuning it and generally sorting it out. I'm guessing it was the same for most of the Poles - long hours in the workshop between meetings, while others sampled the delights of Poznan.

I don't know what happened to the Aussies but sadly they were a shadow of the team we saw in the race offs. That's just it though ML - the Aussies aren't a team!! 80% of them were staying in Haderslav prior to the meeting at Vojens with the remaining 20% turning up on the afternoon of the meeting!!
The same 80% were in one hotel in Poznan priior to the semi-final and the same 20% was based just around the corner in another hotel!! No prizes for guessing who Mr 20% is, but if you're struggling - he's ginger. Well he was there on the friday Kev as i met him and took a couple of pics on my trip up to see the cancelled practice session.Obviously stayed elsewhere

Just a shot in the dark here, and mentioning no names, but would his initials be Jason Crump? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I know I quite often make the odd blunder, but this is the funniest anyone has posted for a while. All the best Rob

It's a bit late I know, but this was brilliant!! We watched the recording of this yesterday as soon as we got back, before watching the GP, we'd avoided hearing the result , so, whilst the British performance was shameful. I can honestly say this was the best meeting I've seen. The Polish were just magnificant, not taking anything away from the Danes though, some of the racing was truly brilliant...and a bit of controversy aswell( yum yum) ;D Then we watched the GP( yawn)........what a difference in some of the riders aswell...Gollob was a different fellow...but then the track was an absolute disgrace, so It's not suprising they were a bit tentative...bye bye Ole Olsen, big fat thumbs down to you

I will finally get round to watch this tonight.
I seen in the result and thought I bet it's crap but I have been informed that the meeting is superb and that I will begin a vicious love affair with the Leszno track.

Knowing your thoughts on the Bydgoszcz track, I suspect that tomorrow you'll be waxing lyrical about the Leszno track tomorrow - it really was a fantastic race meeting. Well, that's my view anyway and no one's going to change it. I see the latest at the BSF is to cast doubt on the legitimacy of Tomasz Gollob's engine, citing the difference between his Leszno form and his Prague form as a reason for jumping to conclusions. But, in truth, the difference was the track: Leszno was perfect conditions and Prague wasn't. And Gollob just isn't interested in following Andreas Jonsson into a air fence these days.

I don't know why you lot still read all that bollocks on the BSF.
I thought it was a cracker Harry, definitely worth a look, just completely discount the Brits( which isn't hard cos they're so far behind you don't notice 'em anyway) and you'll enjoy the racing between the Poles and the Danes ;D

If it's ought like I have been informed - I shall be booking a spot for the GP there next year. I must stay I am very interested to see the track, very wide from pictures.
I could speak lyrical about Polish tracks (not just Bydgoszcz) - thanks to my very good friend Mateusz - I have seen a fair few of them. The only one I don't like is Zielona Gora.

That's very disappointing from Staechmann - I'm not impressed.

These are the main headlines translated by our member Lis
It does seem though that the DMU have distanced themselves from Jans statement. And maybe Stekkers himself is haveing second thoughts about this interview looking at the DMU site.

Judging from the translation provided by lis, Staechmann has upset the golem Ole Olsen, which isn't the wisest thing he's ever done. Olsen never forgives and never forgets, just ask Hans Nielsen. But, on this occasion, Olsen has every right to be furious. Staechmann's comments are outrageous and he deserves to have the book thrown at him.
