Very disappointed with the reaction of Hans Andersen, to be honest. He should've been a lot more gracious in defeat. seems to me the danes rarely show good grace, congrats to poland, and sorry i doubted you rune

Well, for those on national anthem watch, dear old Tomek Gollob looked to be belting out the Polish anthem on the podium - singing his little heart out.

Nobody saw what happened to Noddy? They usually let it go for the SWC and SGPs, but things were getting a little heated. They didn't bother closing it until around Ht 10. I think it was closed to allow things to calm down a bit. Nothing much seemed to happen to Holder on the track - he may just've aggravated an old injury.

Dave, that link doesn't work for me. G'day Schumi, I just copied it off the (Wash my mouth out) BSF! Maybe if you went to one of the locked threads - it worked for moi! Can't understand why when it says "Holder withdrawn on Doc's orders" there wasn't some comment about it on Sky, or were the Paid Prattlers too busy gobbin' on trying to put a positive spin on another Pomgolian rout?

I make no secret that I'm gutted the Danes didn't quite make it, BUT the Poles were awesome and their win is so well deserved.
I'm keeping off the BSF for my own sanity, the place will be a hive of numpties for the next few days. I take faith that the team I supported came a very creditable second and the team I was told I should be supporting came a dire and embarrassing fourth.
Welcome Lis, great to see another Danish supporter in our midst. ;D

The Danes surprised me, to be honest. I was hugely impressed with Bjerre, while BP and Iversen did very well. If anything, it was the big two of Andersen and Nicki P who didn't quite fire. None of the Australians seemed to get going, while the British were outclassed, even the new sensation Harris was, to an extent, humbled. For Poland, where on earth did Kasprzak get that kind of form from? He was sensational, as was the great man Tomasz Gollob - he really does pull it out for the SWC year after year. That's why it's my favourite event. Honourable mentions for Hampel and the non-blood Pole Rune Holta. And finally, the Balinski; what an absolute nutcase, in the nicest sense of the phrase. Took a real bash in his first outing and then rode like a man possessed against Adams in his next one. A very, very special race meeting.

All credit to the Poles, rode with passion, balls and guts. Not my prefered team but I couldn't fault them. Bit disappointed with the Danes moaning about the reserve switches, they all knew the rules before the start, and the Poles did nothing that the Danes wouldn't have done if the situation had warranted it. Credit too to the Danes, also rode with passion and balls, tho it would be nice if Nicki didn't play with his on the podium . Same goes for the Aussies, think the EF on the line just did it for them, they never recovered. I was impressed again with Chris Holder. As for the Brits, can't say I saw much of them to be honest. What did strike me tho was every time there was a pit shot of the other 3 teams, they were all together geeing each other on. The Brits....well occasionally there were 2 of them together almost as if they were stood at a bus stop. Where's the team spirit
