ROSCO IN THE FRAME ALUN Rossiter remains amongst the front-runners for the Great Britain management job - but both he and the authorities remain tight-lipped over his chances at this stage. A disappointing World Cup campaign in 2008 saw Jim Lynch removed from his job after just one year in charge, having taken over from Neil Middleditch. Rossiter's name immediately came into the frame, and he confirmed that he had attended an interview with the BSPA. He has support from other clubs, notably from Lakeside promoter Jon Cook, and BSPA chairman Pete Toogood recently confirmed that a narrow shortlist had been drawn up. Rossiter says discussions are continuing, and feels that he would be an ideal candidate having worked with several top riders in recent years - including his current Swindon captain, Australian star Leigh Adams. Rossiter said: "My key asset is my passion, and as someone who was very proud to ride for his national team, I hope I could build enthusiasm. "We are going through a period of change where our top stars, the likes of Mark Loram and Chris Louis, are gone. "Other nations will go through that period of change too. We do have talented young British riders, and it matters how you bring them through, not only at club level but at international level too. "I have been close to the Grand Prix and top international level speedway over the years, so I think I would bring a degree of experience if appointed." Speedway.tvBit of a worry!

And a decision should be forthcoming in the next few days: www.speedwayworld.tv/en/news/a9731All this fuss to decide who is going to guide Great Britain to third place at the EoES and then an exit at the race-off in Leszno?

Theres reasons for the decision being held up. Is that more time for peoples brown envelopes to turn up? or for them to get the bung together with the recession.

The thought that someone would resort to bribery for the privilege of managing Scott Nicholls and four wasters is laughable.
