why would anyone put a wink at the end of that? is there meant to be a sly dig in there somewhere towards someone? If people want to put winks in, they can put winks in. Maybe it was a little dig at the incompetence of the BSPA, who really should've been able to announce this earlier.

Perhaps I have a twitch I like to put into my posts at random points, as it isn't reflected online. Perhaps its the fact that there have been several announcements and 'hype' up to the new GB manager, yet no announcement as yet. It seems like something the BSPA would do to announce they will be announcing the new manager on a set date, does it not?

I couldnt possibly comment Rhidassa i take no interest at all in who is the manager of the "England" team. i just want to make my point that it is hindering the progress of the Scottish riders. Due to the fact that all the English youth get there chance against the worlds best yet the Scots are left with nothing. Atleast if there is a Scotland team our riders will get to pit there selfs against these top riders.

What odds would you get on Ronnie Russell being announced as Team GB Manager?

What odds would you get on Ronnie Russell being announced as Team GB Manager? Really . Chris Louis is definitely not one of the two, and he has seen the resume's of both candidates, and according to him one stands out, but he didn't divulge the candidates names

Should Ronnie be in the final two, I'm sure his resume would be worded to the satisfaction of the interviewers though.

Perhaps its the fact that there have been several announcements and 'hype' up to the new GB manager, yet no announcement as yet. It seems like something the BSPA would do to announce they will be announcing the new manager on a set date, does it not? Here's some more "hype" from www.speedwayworld.tvALUN Rossiter remains amongst the front-runners for the Great Britain management job - but both he and the authorities remain tight-lipped over his chances at this stage. A disappointing World Cup campaign in 2008 saw Jim Lynch removed from his job after just one year in charge, having taken over from Neil Middleditch. Rossiter's name immediately came into the frame, and he confirmed that he had attended an interview with the BSPA. He has support from other clubs, notably from Lakeside promoter Jon Cook, and BSPA chairman Pete Toogood recently confirmed that a narrow shortlist had been drawn up. Rossiter says discussions are continuing, and feels that he would be an ideal candidate having worked with several top riders in recent years - including his current Swindon captain, Australian star Leigh Adams. Rossiter said: "My key asset is my passion, and as someone who was very proud to ride for his national team, I hope I could build enthusiasm. "We are going through a period of change where our top stars, the likes of Mark Loram and Chris Louis, are gone. "Other nations will go through that period of change too. We do have talented young British riders, and it matters how you bring them through, not only at club level but at international level too. "I have been close to the Grand Prix and top international level speedway over the years, so I think I would bring a degree of experience if appointed."
