So that would be the 'COV' camp then? Actually it's Peterborough. Phew thought you weren't my mate anymore! ;D I'm always around, just not on the BSF so much now. You can always get me here if you want me.

Interesting thread. I use this forum as well as the BSF not instead of, although I increasingly find on the BSF that I'll type out a post and then delete it rather than send it. I don't feel that people are interested in my opinion any more or just ignore it. Coventry fans (not the fairies or their hangers on tho) get most on my nerves. Followed by Poole fans and those who go on and on and on about how crap the EL is. You PL fans need ambition!!! Weather updates are fine in moderation but some threads get overtaken with them. If you live more than 3 miles from the track - keep quiet please. Back in the old, old days of the forum when I was just a girl the saying was EL was steak and chips, PL was egg and chips and the CL spam and chips.

The thing I like about this place is that it isn't just about speedway; the one thing I really don't like about the BullShitForum (that's my name for it and I'm sticking to it!) is that it always seems to come back to a speedway reference somewhere along the line, and whilst that might be the common interest that binds us all together, there's much more to life than 4 blokes riding around in circles on some dirt.
Granted, there's plenty of threads that don't start off with a speedway theme or reference, but there's always that odd post in the middle of it all that refers to a rider or a team and brings it all back to the minority sport that so very few of us enjoy.
It's a huge World out there, I think most of the people here embrace that concept so much better than the regulars on the BSF.

Until I started posting there wasn't a single thread in the Wolves section! But that's because Wolves are a dull club. Hell, even you struggle to think of worthwhile, interesting things to say about them. Time to face facts: CVS and Peter Adams, fine speedway administrators though they may be, just aren't interesting. WOLVES aren't a dull club per se but the people who run it have NO ambition anymore and seem content to build a team that 'might' get into the playoffs each year. They stick with riders who are obviously not up to the task and won't change the team unless injuries dictate. We have a good track, well prepared which often produces fantastic racing. We have some very exciting riders - Freddie, PK on his day, even Billy if he's fit and on decent bikes - but we also have some totel dross that needs pruing......not with OUR management team though. Add in the 'tactics' of the legendary master tactician that is Peter Adams.....which seems to consist of reading your programme and smoking whilst your team get whalloped by the oppostion.......and I can understand where the 'dull' thing comes from! Surely you must realise that I am well aware of the 'facts' about our 'management' - To be honest if Horton wasn't around I can't think of anyone more worthy of the Lord flapperjack title than CVS!

Fuck all wrong with Spam, nice bit of comfort food imo, dipped in a nice beer batter & deep fried, go on you know you'll like it. Just like the racing in CL fog

Like Paulco I still post on the BSF as there is a place for both forums, as SL says this (currently) has a more 'grown up' feel about the place and perhaps because of a lower membership threads tend to see 'debate' rather than 'posts' which is a good thing
Agree with Swinetown about the type of responses that get on my nerves on the BSF although I dont really have a problem with any (many) individuals or groups posting, although that is probably down to the areas I look at and post in more than anthing else
Thanks again to Sub, Schumi et al for setting up and maintaining the whole show

So how is your Ruhbarb coming on this year, must be all the rain we have had , progress is a bit slow on mine, obviouvsly not put enough SHIT on them, ( damn i lapsed into a Poole reference there), promise no more speedway talk, damn just used the word speedway., bollocks i give up.

The odd curse every now and again is a necessity though. ;D

it's a strange one about the swearing ... ok, yes we can get away with doing it on here, but in the general scheme of things, there's nowhere near as much done as i expected there to be. there is someone i have noticed swears a lot in her posts, but whether that's really how she is or just trying to feel more 'part of things', i really can't say, but it's so over the top it sticks out like a sore thumb on the whole, this forum provides a bit of an outlet to being able to say what you think, without fear of retribution in one way or another and i've found that most threads on here seem to plod along and say what has to be said, and then people just get on with it. Trees, if you don't like the threads, don't look at them, simple as that. i will still post on the BSF until i get banned, but a lot less than i want or need to. there is a lot of threads i really feel like posting in, but as things are now, i just feel i can't be bothered, i'll let someone else do it. i used to have a laugh on the BSF, used to get on ok with people, but my attitude has changed considerably since it was taken over. oh, and another thing ... THIS thread ... how long would it have lasted on the BSF?

The thing about the swearing is simple; no-one cares if we do, so we don't really bother.
It's the same as telling your kid not to open the cupboard, he'll do it because it has an impact and gets a reaction.
What I thought was interesting was trees' use of the word 'c*nt'; obviously a need to shock or make an impact was the object there, because typing it without the asterisk would've produced the rather more innocuous 'flapperjack'.
