Its more the undeserved status upgrade they accord to themselves. That was my main probablem with the Prem - all a bit too cosy and home-knitted.

I'm very glad to read that there are others who get pissed off with the Coventry Mafia and the Poole cheerleaders! ;D The only kind of poster I actually dislike is the ProxyRiderPoster - those who intervene to say one of the following hoary old classics: "Lets see YOU do better than XXXX did" "And you've never even ridden a speedway bike" "XXXX is a really nice boke" "How dare you post that - XXX's confidence is low and needs our support" "Disgraceful - i say lets just get behind our team" "Apologise - how can you say that about XXXXX" "XXXX I luv U - yur wicked - C U on Tuesday" "XXXX is a reall gent - he spoke to my little boy so he cannot have done what you say" "When I spoke to XXX he seemed lovely" "Dont you realise these guys risk their LIVES for our entertainment?!?!??!" and so ad infinitum Thanks swine that is class ;D ;D Reminds me of the ulamek debate on the swindon forum at the moment with the swindon track spares sticking up for him .

Explain When I cam back to Swindon in 2002ish I loved watching the racing and supported the team but everything about the club seem scaled down in a way I didnt like - it felt like Sunday Pub team football. Many great exceptions though. However, it just seemed that everyone knew each other, or worked there - back to ProxyRiderPoster - and when we went Elite it seemed that loads of active prem Swindon Fans left with noses out of joint.

Thanks swine that is class ;D ;D Reminds me of the ulamek debate on the swindon forum at the moment with the swindon track spares sticking up for him . hey "Hortonfan" - you know that the Beatles once dreamt of touring under a fake name to evade the screaming masses - "Randy and The Rockets" - and then someone said "but they'd recognise your guitar playing - and your voices - everything". Do you think your posts have a certain flavour! lol And "Swindon Track Spares" wins my quote of the day award.

Sorry you felt that way . When the Tigers kicked the Robins arse in the 1993 KO Cup final it definently didn't have a pub team feel to it . Premier league is great speedway - and without the stupid bitchiness you see on the pages of the EL section of the BSF . And to the best of my knowledge no-one in the PL league has a club song ( spew ) except maybe some drunken Mildenhall fans ;D

Thanks swine that is class ;D ;D Almost as good as your post yesterday referring to going to the Peterborough double header: I would like to go to these meetings but due to a slump in chow mein sales at the noodle king i have a cash flow problem .

i liked the PL and loved the "Gang" mentality of our riders - you know where there hearts were. I REALLY loved the way that Conf and PL could be crossed by young riders on the way up - so a 16year old on a run in the CL could suddently get the points in in the Prem.

Steak and chips - or did you miss that boat? I don't like steak. Mind you, I don't like egg either. So, we'll say the Ekstraliga is fish and chips, that'll do me, except, of course, that I'm in the wrong bloody country for it.
