But TheTiger2799's enthusiasm knows no bounds - is that guy for real, or is he just on a massive wind-up trip with all this shit about boy bands and the like? I bet he watches Strictly Come Dancing and not to see Nicole either.

Erm believe it or not he's for real . He even texted me today gushing about how excited he was because a rider he really wanted to see ride for Glasgow has actually signed for Glasgow . I had just wakened so he got a somewhat curt and grumpy reply . He takes it upon himself to be champion of the underdog , in the past few seasons we've had to listen to him extol the virtues of such speedway giants such as Grant MacDonald , James Birkinshaw , James Cockle and Lee Dicken . Ross Brady will just be another in a long line of embarrassing signings praised to the heavens by our mate Tiger .

I mean, how does he survive on the mean streets and among the hard men of the great heathen city of Glasgow?

Paulco, I've heard from a reliable source that your mate Phil Morris has signed for Glasgow. Sshhh . I am saying nothing now as some numptie on the BSF has really upset me . I made a joke along the lines that signing Morris was no more or less ridiculous than signing Brady ( who has long since lost his bottle ) and i get fucking slated for rubbing David McAllan's nose in it . Well i fucking wasnae having that , but folk know what i'm like - sometimes maybe the sarcasm oversteps the mark , but some people must get a sense of humour bypass before they log onto that bloody forum . Anyway Brady has signed so i just need to get on with it - canny see him lasting very long anyway ( bout as long as the last time ) it's just put a dampner on my enthusiasm for the new season . Mate, there's some absolute wankers on there - I've known that for a while. You do one thing that someone doesn't like, and they'll pounce on you. Mr Wong/Freeloaderz/Fentiger/Boro Twat are just a few - and there all one person.

Beginning to get very concerned about our prospects in 2008 , especially when i look around and see the other teams being assembled . You need riders with the potential to improve their average , and i just cant see that with the four we've signed already . The Messiah 9.73 - cant expect , even Shane , to improve on that . Even matching it will be extremely difficult if , i'm afraid , critical . Trent Leverington - 6.44 - unlikely . Trent is a steady rider and he will be a good 3rd heat leader at home . But i fear he has reached his level and away from home i can see us losing a few 5-1s in his races . Robert Ksiezak - 5.39 . I worry about Robert now . I just feel he is a bit lightweight and in a first bend scrap- i doubt he is really able to mix it with most PL heat leaders . Again could struggle on most away tracks , but i honestly dont ever see him being much better than a 6 point PL rider . Brady - 5.40 - Gawd where do i start . Glasgow are making all the right noises about him being over all his problems and he is a bargain on that average . Total tosh . I'm actually surprised it is over 5 having watched him on a few occassions in the last couple of years . The Easy Tiger forum is really beginning to piss me off with all the gushing support for him from people who have slagged him rotten for 4 years . Still one of the best gaters around , but i dont think he has the stomach for a fight anymore and , in my opinion , a bad signing for us . The second heat-leader position is one me must get right , but in light of recent events , the promotion have got me worried . And if they are even considering giving Gary Beaton a spot as a 3 point reserve ..................the lad has been at it too long without even remotely showing the progress to look as if he could be a PL rider . Please look elsewhere .

Please look elsewhere . I had to read that a second time Paulco to make sure it was you who wrote it and not me!! I agree with everything you say (including the bit about Easy, Tiger!) but I wouldn't have had the nerve to post along the lines you have for fear of being taken apart by your acerbic wit. Still at least Glasgow have four riders in the bag (including Methuselah) whereas Edinburgh have managed to announce the two reserves (I assume!!!). Maybe if we amalgamate we could come up with a team between us. On second thoughts we maybe couldn't even do that! On the Ross Brady front the biggest worry for Glasgow must be thetiger2799's endorsement and enthusiasm for him. Given Tony's track record for putting the kiss of death on his predictions things look bleak indeed.

It's a worry Merlin for both of us . Glasgow have had negotiations with numerous riders , as presumably have Edinburgh , but it is becoming both really difficult and frustrating trying to attract riders north of the border . We've roughly 14.5 left for three riders - i would now expect that to be two 5 pointers and a 4.5 man and we'll be going into the season with Trent Leverington as 2nd heat-leader
