Seems Glasgow's second signing will be announced on Friday evening . Would love it to be the Messiah , but it's more likely to be Robert Ksiezak .

Apparently there is going to be a major announcement on Friday night as well . Not connected with team building , but critical to the future of Glasgow Tigers . Erm i'm scared

So that's the somewhat predictable threesome of Leverington , Ksiezak and the esteemed messiah on board for 2008 . And in the past fortnight there has been an almost Berwickesque silence on the signing front . Not expecting nothing to happen till after the festive season now . But with 19.93 left for four riders options could be limited . If we get the young Aussie we are rumoured to be chasing , that would be 5.00 . Another 3.00 will probably be wasted on Gary bloody Beaton which would leave 11.93 . Wato and a 4 point man would fit , but i'm not too keen on that . Adrian Rymel and a 4.5 ish man would also fit , but the 2nd heat leader is the signing we have to get right . Rymel or even Franc would be my preferred choice , but that depends on Berwick and Sunday commitments . But please , please - no Lee Dicken again this year .

With 14.54 left for the remaining three riders, 6.00 for two three point reserves leaves 8.54 for a second heat leader so that means that someone like Laukkanen could still be accommodated. What happens though if instead they sign up Lee Dicken and, say, Gary Beaton instead? Dicken's average is 4.41 (I think) and Gary Beaton will be on 3.00 which leaves 7.13 for the remaining second heat leader. That would leave scope for a 7.00 rider from eastern Europe etc. The Glasgow Press Release says that Ross Brady will be under no pressure this time on a lowish average. I would think the converse is true - he'll be under immense pressure since his signing has ruled out a good number of options and has virtually dictated the way the rest of the side will have to be put together. Still the Glasgow Promotion must know their business and perhaps the options were already running out. If Ross can somehow turn back the years (how often have fans wished that?) and produce the scores he used to all those years ago, who knows? But it may take just one injury for him to revert to the 5.40 rider he was last year. Good luck to him anyway - as they say it's a gamble. Sometimes they pay off.

I'm afraid we might have to wait a while to hear from paulco - he's currently suffering from shock (and he's at work).

Should he be at work suffering from shock? Actually, according to his text, he's flabbergasted, not shocked. Now, whether he should be at work while his flabber is gasted is another matter.

Still canny get my head round Ross bloody Brady Whit the fuck are the Tigers promotion thinking off . Doubt the young 5.00 Aussie we were after has heard about the Tiger 2799 and thought better off it . That's what i get for wanting rid of Lee Dicken Swapping somebody who canny ride the track for somebody who has a phobia about riding the track - marvellous . This second heat leader we will have to sign better be bloody good ........or else . Anyway i'm away for a sleep to try and digest this shock news . Probably have nightmares about a rider we've signed who flies from the gate and is last by turn 2 . Mind you i'm terrified to go to sleep incase we've signed Phil Morris and Claus Kristensen by the time i wake up .

Paulco, I've heard from a reliable source that your mate Phil Morris has signed for Glasgow. Sshhh . I am saying nothing now as some numptie on the BSF has really upset me . I made a joke along the lines that signing Morris was no more or less ridiculous than signing Brady ( who has long since lost his bottle ) and i get fucking slated for rubbing David McAllan's nose in it . Well i fucking wasnae having that , but folk know what i'm like - sometimes maybe the sarcasm oversteps the mark , but some people must get a sense of humour bypass before they log onto that bloody forum . Anyway Brady has signed so i just need to get on with it - canny see him lasting very long anyway ( bout as long as the last time ) it's just put a dampner on my enthusiasm for the new season .

Its put a stop to my enthusiasm now. If the promotion are so stupid to want brady back, then who else are we gonna sign not looking forward to hearing who else we have now
