Gollob's manager, Tomasz Gaszynski, have been interviewed by a local Västervik newspaper.Question: have Gollob taken a decision about next year? Reply: i do not want to comment that at the moment. Q: Have Västervik been in touch with you? R: no. We're still waiting. Q: So you dont know what you will do with next years contract yet? R: As i said i dont want to talk about it at the moment. We will take within the nearest future. Q: How far from now is the nearest future? R: Give us a week to 10 days and we'll be able to discuss it.

And it appears that all six teams in the Allsvenskan will be eligible for the play-offs at the end of the regular season (why bother with that then?) Subject to approval from SVEMO, teams finishing first, third and fifth will contest a mini league, as do teams placed second, fourth and sixth. The top two from each group will go to the semi finals, then there will be a final.
Again, subject to approval, there could be three points awarded for an away win, and the team building average could drop.

Västervik has received an unknown amount of money from one of their honorary members. This means that Västervik might be able to pay their debts and to start the work of building a team for next season, although they are not safe yet. I also hope that, if they make it, they will learn their lesson and adjust the team so that they have team that they can afford so that they dont end up in this situation again. vt.se/sport/artikel.aspx?articleid=5146662

Rafal Dobrucki does what he did last year. He negotiates with a team and they reach a verbal agreement but then suddenly signs for Piraterna.

And Daniel Nermark will ride for Valsarna in 2010, according to vf.se. Which means Balinski should get the final spot at Piraterna (fingers crossed!)
Vastervik now look pretty secure for next year, but there will be a new club president amid claims their current one, Ivar Svensson, is untrustworthy. However, the outstanding money owed to the Vastervik riders should be paid within the next week, so negotiations can start for 2010.

Fredrik Eklund and Percy Lundqvist, who were sacked from the board of Smederna earlier in the year, have got together to form a new club called Eskilstuna Speedway Ungdomsförening. The team will run in the second division after SVEMO gave their approval.
