Got a bit bored with all the nonsense last night . Hans playing the big man , Richardson greeting and moaning and Ronnie Russel flapping his arms around . Once the racing did start it was pretty dire stuff , had to go to work before the best races apparently . But i can't believe nobody has mentioned the real star of last night's show - The green start girl . What a fantastic derriere the young lady possesses and accompanied with those knee length boots , it's a wonder Shovlar hasn't approached her about an acting career . ;D Maybe Squirlie could inform us whether those are the usual start girls or just four that Matt Ford borrowed from Shovvy for last night. Paulco, I'm glad you agree that last night was dire - I was starting to think I was in a minority of one. According to Hatcham & Rico it was "above average" - if that's above average then I would hate to see what average was. Ronnie Russell waving his arms about must appeal to some people more than it does to me. How does it go ?...........I'm getting fed up with your constant tirade against(......................) In this instance Ronnie Russell !

The 'ladies' were from the evocatively named 'Peaches' bar which I assume is probably a lap dancing club in Bournemouth. Whilst I've no real problem with start tarts per se, this obsession with getting erotic dancers to stand at the line passes me by. It's obviously a testosterone thing. I'm more interested in why with an hour of time to kill and two roving reporters, a microphone wasn't shoved in Matt Fords face, was he there ? If i know Matt, he would've loved a chance to get in front of that camera, hence the timing after all these weeks of that press release. But to equal effect, i'm sure Terry Russell etc put the mockers on him having screen time right away for fear of what he might say. And believe me, if he's as wound up about this as I suspect him to be (and I've not spoken to him recently but know how he has reacted in the past to other incidents, added to which the wording of his statement) then he would not have held back. A shame because I'd have loved to have seen what bombshells he let drop! Can't see Terry Russell having any sway on what Sky broadcast, looks like they took a unilateral decision on what they consider 'the best interests of the sport', shame the promoters don't do likewise.

That's hardly constant - unlike all your little digs at the (excellent) Lakeside promotion.

Face facts old chap, you along with most speedway forum posters love nothing more than sticking the boot in, currently 'on the floor' receiving a kicking are the Poole Pirates and you are revelling in their mysery and striving to get your 'pound of flesh'.

Where on this thread have I blamed Poole for last night's events. I haven't because it wasn't their fault. Stop talking crap.

FWIW, I didn't think it was that great a meeting last night. It was a credit they got it to run; it was close; it had controversy; but overall the racing was rather average. Heat 14 was awesome and there were some other memorable moments, but it was by no means a classic. Don't think it was ever going to be anything otherwise with reserves out in almost every heat. Still, as long as the perception overall is that it was good to watch, then as a Poole fan I'll take that. Noting worse than having your weekly entertainment dissected as poor.

Just watching the match for the first time on the re run from sky sports and have to say it's been a good one not sure whats wrong with some people who want to say the meeting shit even before it starts . The track itself was fine and the rain made it a very racable track and the heat14 win by fry was one one of highlights of the season ...not bad for a 44 year old great stuff .

Everyone has to understand that Genghis will never see reason, the match was not a classic by any means, but was certainly above average, it began with Poole considered certainties, then after injuries to Davidsson and Holder the pendulum swung and west ham became the certainties, it finished as a draw with a great penultimate race from Fry and a last heat decider, there were no stupid tacticals and it was played out with a backdrop of underlying tension, there were even passes notably in heat 8 where Nieminen and Robson turned a 1-5 position into a 5-1. Genghis began by spouting off about Ronnie Russell and his track prep, when common sense prevailed and the track was bladed, Genghis started banging on about safety and how someone was going to be killed, he tried to blame the track for Davidssons fall, when it was down to Andersen taking Richardson's ground, he tried to blame the track when Holder fell, but of course Holder admitted differently, Genghis then moved onto the lack of passing and entertainment and was once again made to look stupid, his final gambit revolved around the entertainment not being up to the standard of Somerset and Scunthorpe(both fine, exciting matches) and we all knew he had lost...............one might as well declare Hans Nielsen was shit because he wasn't as good as Ivan Mauger(and he wasn't)

Squirlie, last night was poor BUT I certainly wouldn't take it as being representative of your weekly entertainment. I would imagine that your track staff are normally allowed to get on with their job without all the tomfoolery that the Sky interference brought last night.

So the unneccessary hour delay which would have been avoided had the Poole track staff been allowed to do their normal job (something I think you'll find Squrilie agrees with me about) was good for the watching public? You're the one spouting bollocks. You follow me around and state the contrary opinion to whatever I'm saying. You do the same with several others such as Subedei and KevH. As a result, your views hold ne credibility at all. Anyway I've got better things to do tonight than to argue with such a bitter and twisted individual such as yourself.
