Great and brave ride by Paul Fry - Poole deserve something out of this meeting. I wonder how many casual viewers are now left. Not many, I would wager. Genghis.....do you walk around wearing a "the end of the world is nigh" sandwich board...?

Why not just accept you were talking bollocks rather than continually clutching at straws to back up your nonsense argument. As Wacks said, the Oxford motox track was well renowned for being prepared extremely badly and tonights track has been nothing like that. It's ridden well in the end and provided a few decent heats. Decent meeting in the end, great to see a last heat decider without the need for tactical rides. Andersen and Screen looked very good with the whinging Richardson not far behind, Pedersen still looks a shadow of his former self.

Rico Rico, if you think that was a good meeting tonight, you've got very low standards. Then again you've seen plenty of meetings from Smellmead, so you would have low standards. If you'd have watched the classic stuff I used to witness at Cowley every week, you'd have higher standards. The 45-45 result created a little artifical excitement tonight, but largely it was dire. Fry's heroics in Heat 14 was easily the highlight of a poor night's action. And Lakeside will be wondering how on earth they didn't win that meeting. Personally I'd prefer a team to win by 20 points but to have good racing. The meeting at Scunny was a good example of this.

Actually a bit disappointed Poole didn't pull off the win in the end, they definately deserved more than a draw.
Fair play to Jon Cook with his comments about the Hammers, he normally talks bollocks, but was correct in his assessment tonight, where other team managers sometimes look for excuses, he was open & honest.

We did have our share of shit meetings at Smallmead, but things picked up when we ended up in a different league to Oxford.

Wacks, that's because our Elite League team in 2006 and 2007 was **** So we didn't travel well. The standard of your away meetings would have gone down at that point though. I remember the classic Good Friday clash when we brought your winning run to the start of the season to a screeching halt. ;D

Some people who've just enjoyed their lifetime second best shag, might remark that was fantastic, others would moan it wasn't as good as their best !

Hatcham, well if you reckon tonight was the second best speedway meeting you've watched, I would suggest your take a trip to the Doctor so he can prescribe you some anti-delusional pills

I wasn't the greatest fan of Smallmead tbh, however I have to point out I did frequent Oxford fairly regularly, but got fed up with that quite quickly as the entertainment value was nil and the admission charge was madness. I'll give you a clue of the 'era' I'm referring to - the one where the riders walked round the outside of the track to some shite music for their introduction. Proper pantomime. Rico

Hatcham, however you try to dress it up that was most definitely NOT a good advert for Speedway tonight. You do talk such nonsense at times.

Remind me what the track was like that day! Then think a bit more and tell me what the return leg result was on a decent raceable track.

Rico Get away Rico, the riders parading around the dog track in their dressing gowns followed by the team cuddles on the 3rd bend before making their way to the start line was worth the entrance money alone. Ahh, those were the days. ;D

You do talk such nonsense at times. Britain is not a good advert for speedway full stop, but as elite televised matches go, tonights was well above average............and i won some cash...... Stop gazing at your Robins programme board, take off your blinkers and watch it again.
