There could be some suspicious activities this week as the Sky cameras head down to Dorset and the lair of the supposed evil genius of Matt Ford and his sidekick the blessed Middlo. So, pay close attention folks and fire off your dossier on any dubious goings-on to the SCB in Rugby. Well, that should keep the Royal Mail going for a couple of days. Yes, the Champions League is done and dusted, Barcelona are champions of Europe and Poole can start hosting meetings again. And this week's visitors to Wimborne Road are the revolutionary forces from the side of the lake. This has been a troubled season for the South Coast Pirates, who aren't doing half so well as their counterparts off the coast of Somalia. But in the midst of their dreadful run of results, they have at least one notable, astonishing, possibly unique achievement: they're under investigation by the SCB (the poor souls in Rugby are probably running around trying to find out how to investigate something as I write - they don't have much experience). The Lakesiders are having an "up and down" sort of a season themselves. They don't seem to have gelled together as a unit yet and have had some disappointing results. They need to get the fragile Kylmakorpi firing if they want to make a big impression this season. But home and away wins over championship favourites Swindon in the KO Cup last week should put them in good heart. So, who will win? I think it'll be close. Could be the Pirates, could be the Hammers, could depend on who wins the coin toss and takes gates 1 & 3 "early doors". I'll go for Poole to take the win and Lakeside to take a point back to Essex for keeping it close. But will Jon Cook manage to go through a Sky meeting without offending someone, or will he find the temptation to refer to the locals as "inbred mutants" too hard to resist? Will Sam Ermolenko ask a question in less than one-hundred words or will he leave a rider who has lost track of the question looking as bemused as the semi-weird Walasek when confronted with the English language? Actually, Walasek always looks bemused - he's a fun guy. Will the screaming imbecile scream and will his nodding dog with the MBE nod? Yes, I know the answer. Absolutely. No question, Nige. Let the screaming, average manipulation, whatever, commence.

NEIL Middleditch insists tonight’s clash is not a grudge match as Pirates prepare to welcome Lakeside to Wimborne Road.
Poole Castle Cover host Hammers this evening (7.30pm) as they bid to keep their slim Elite League play-off hopes alive.
And team boss Middleditch has played down the rivalry between the teams, despite Lakeside being one of the clubs to call for an official inquiry after Pirates signed Hans Andersen last month.
Andersen’s move and subsequent allegations of average manipulation have dominated the agenda of late, with a Speedway Control Bureau inquiry continuing.
But Middleditch told the Echo: “There has been a lot of mud slinging and Poole seem to be the butt of everything because we’ve been so successful.
“It’s the British mentality of knocking people down when they’re doing well.”
Lakeside promotion team Stuart Douglas and Jon Cook last month joined calls for an inquiry after claims of alleged cheating by Pirates as Matt Ford managed to fit Andersen into his revised line-up.
But despite the war of words, Middleditch said: “It’s not a grudge match. Every match now is important to win and show what Poole are capable of to fans and British speedway in general.”
With last week’s shock decision taken by the Elite League to reduce the play-off places from six to four teams, struggling Pirates have it all to do if they are to gain anything from what has been a difficult season.
Middleditch added: “It’s not a lost cause and we’ll never give up until the end, but it makes our task difficult.
“We’ve got to show what we’re capable of when we’ve got a full team. When Chris Holder is back we’ll be able to show just that.”
Pirates are sweating on the fitness of Holder, as he attempts to recover from a broken collarbone.
The Australian is hopeful of making a return against Hammers, but Pirates will use rider replacement if he fails recover in time.
Pirates: 1 Hans Andersen, 2 Daniel Davidsson, 3 Joe Screen, 4 Chris Holder, 5 Bjarne Pedersen, 6 Paul Fry, 7 Karol Baran.
Lakeside: 1 Lee Richardson, 2 Kauko Nieminen, 3 Adam Shields, 4 Jonas Davidsson, 5 Joonas Kylmakorpi, 6 Phil Morris, 7 Stuart Robson. www.bournemouthecho.co.uk

Polsat are showing this meeting live tonight. Compared to Polish speedway, I think they're in for a bit of a surprise.

Fantastic piece by Matt Ford in tonights programme, he takes a massive swipe at the 'brainless two' so the Poles might get a pit brawl to compensate for the lack of on track excitement.

What the bloody hell has Ronnie Russell done to the third turn of the Poole track. Is he entering a mud-making competition? For goodness sake, take the wet shale OFF the track, man.
