Well, sorry to be predictable but it's true. And it appears that Sky are starting to catch on. Hopefully they've realised that every match they've shown from Belle Vue and Ipswich is more painful than watching paint dry and that it's far more likely that a match from Scunthorpe or Somerset will provide top quality racing. Back to Scunthorpe again please. The one thing we should have all learn from the last week is that we have seen 3 good tracks weather that was in the PL or the El and that inturn have given us some great racing . I don't like watching matches at belle vue and ipswich (sorry badge lw etc ) but i am sure there are a couple of tracks like that in the pl . The track was the main reason we saw a great match tonight and it would have been just as good with el riders on it just like last nights match at wolves would have been good with pl riders on it . My god that's twice !! (well apart from the Ippo bit), but as you say, whatever riders rode on Somerset, Wolves or Scunthorpes tracks I think we would see a great meeting, just glad we got to see them, and tonight was the Icing on the cake, probably be brought back down with a bang on Saturday night

What a great little set up Scunthorpe have. Fantastic meeting and for once Pearson was right, the scoreline was immaterial. Brilliant racing throughout the meeting showing just what speedway should be about. Sad to see Millsy still seems to be going backwards, he looked a novice tonight. Lovely bloke, great motivator in the pits, but let his team down on track when with his experience he should be cleaning up at reserve in the PL. Maybe it's the Sheffield managements fault, just like it was claimed his lack of form was down to the Reading management last season

Fantastic racing on a superb track. Was the first time i had seen speedway at Scunny and how wide is that track??? Best racing i have seen on SKY for a long time.
Josh Auty was excellent for the Tigers while Carl Wilkinson provided bags of entertainment every time he was out.

Millsy was almost up to heat leader standard when he rode for Lynn. Now admittedly he did ride with the best team rider in the business (Topinka) for most of that time, but it proved he did actually have the ability. So maybe just maybe his lack of form is down to the lack of good management at Reading and Sheffield.

Or perhaps it's just a touch of the Adam Allot syndrome - good round the Norfolk Arena , utter bollocks anywhere else . He was crap at Glasgow on Sunday as well .

I think Paulco is nearer the mark to be fair Star Lady. Millsy was somewhat protected by Topinka when he rode for KL a couple of seasons back, he's a reserve this season and like I said should be cleaning up with his experience, instead he's still making novice mistakes - lovely bloke though ;D
Rightly or wrongly, I compare Millsy's progression against that of Chris Schramm as they both started off roughly the same time and were both of similar ages when the joing Reading a few years back. Both riders wear their heart on their sleeves, both riders are battlers, but Schrammy has made a step or two forward in his speedway career whilst Millsy seems to be going backwards.

Much as I hate to disagree with Paulco, I watched Millsy when he was in Lynn colours riding away from home at most tracks. Yep he did make silly mistakes on occasions but he also was a damn site better than he displayed last night. I've no idea of his respective averages but I'm still convinced he performed better for Lynn away (and certainly at home) than he did for Reading or is for Sheffield. Topinka did shield him, no doubt about it, as he does most of his partners, which IMHO increases their confidence in their own abilities - all part of the KL team spirit/confidence thingy.
Incidentally mentioning Allott in the same breath as Mills is a big insult to Millsy IMHO. Allott is an out and out gating tart who has never shown any ability at any track other than the NA, Millsy is a fighter who can overtake, and at least looks as if he has the will/balls to have a go.

Maybe it's the Sheffield managements fault, just like it was claimed his lack of form was down to the Reading management last season Wacks - actually, he has been going quite well this season, but just had a complete stinker last night. So I wouldn't blame the Sheffield management, they appear to be much better than the Reading management who clearly were no good at getting the best out of their riders - they couldn't even motivate Lemo.

I thought Tony Steele got the exclusion wrong. Ashworth did make contact albeit slight but Bergstrom in my opinion turned far too early as he knew Ashworth had him. Eric Boocock was being rather ridiculous with his idea of what happened.
Anyway never mind the score, what a fantastic meeting and very well done to both teams for an excellent advert.

A rocket up his arse wouldn't have motivated Lemo last year Genghis who incidently still isn't exactly a dominant force in the PL this season either. In fact none of the 2008 Racers have really improved that much on last years averages so far, they're all pretty much performing as they did last season despite you're theory that their inability to improve was down to the Reading managment team. Personally I just think certain riders have found their level.

Well, the poor blokes are tainted now, aren't they? That's what riding for the Wacky Racers does to a rider - they're never quite the same again.

A rocket up his arse wouldn't have motivated Lemo last year I remember Lemo not doing so well for the Racers last season especially towards the end, but the many times he guested for us when William Lawson was out injured he was a different kettle of fish. No idea as to why tho'.
