Next week, of course, there'll be no Saturday night speedway action in Barbaria as the Comets head to the cruel, crazy town for more fun and frollicks with the Bandits.

A bit of a slick-fest last night in Barbaria , with gating at a premium and entertainment decidedly thin on the ground . In saying that i had a very nice meal in Henry Bessamers in the town and the Worthingtons Creamflow at the track was very nice .

It does look as if the Babas will be back to full strength, with the return of the comedy connection and the Lesser Wright, but the Bears will be minus Kessler (wasn't he a character in Secret Army?) and Proctor - Auty as a guest for Kessler and R/R for Proctor is the rumour.

A mighty performance from Son of Steve currently taking place at Derwent Park . Seems his first experience of the West Lothian Tricktrack hasn't left any mental scars .

The Bears fall apart and "son of Steve" puts in a mighty performance as the Barbarians take three points at home to Redcar: WORKINGTON..511..K Doolan..0,3,2,2',2' = 9+22..J Branney..2,0,2',0 = 4+13..A Rymel..1',0,0,1 = 2+14..C Wright..2,2,3,1 = 85..A Compton..2,2',0,3,3 = 10+16..L Priest..0,W = 07..R Lawson..2,1',3,3,3,3,3 = 18+1REDCAR..381..G Havelock..3,3,3,2,1,0 = 122..J Auty..1,0,1,1',0 = 3+13..C Stonehewer..3,0,2,3,2,1 = 114..B Wilson..0,1',1,1,0 = 3+15..T Proctor..R/R 6..B Compton..3,2,1',0 = 6+17..A Bugeja..1,0,0,2 = 3Taken from: www.speedwayupdates.proboards103.comAnother couple of exclusions for Adrian Rymel (in Hts 5 and 9) make it another miserable day for the Czech rider and the Greater Compton also got himself an exclusion. The top three of Workington are under huge pressure to produce the goods.

not if lawson, wright and branney can score 30 points between them That's true. All you need is for Priest to withdraw after his first race at Derwent Park and the job's sorted. It'll be interesting to see how they get on against Edinburgh next week - Rajkowski is a demon gater.
