It looks like Nicki P will be entering into negotiations with Marta Poltorak for a return to Rzeszow - and if Nicki P won't play ball, the club might switch attention to Greg Hancock: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/04/07/poltorak-dla-sportowefaktypl-nasz-klub-stac-na-takich-zawodn/Poltorak insists that Rzeszow can afford the likes of Nicki P and Hancock, but doesn't think it likely that the club will sign both. Poltorak seems to be thinking that the return of Nicki P will be a huge boost to attendances down by the border with Ukraine. I suspect our beloved First Lady would've told her that more than a year ago.

And Zielona Gora boss Robert Dowhan wants Nicki P, just not this season: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/04/07/falubaz-powalczy-o-nickiego-ale-po-sezonie/Nicki P previously rode for Zielona Gora, leaving the club when they were relegated at the end of the 2005 season, but although Dowhan wants Pedersen back, his club already have a couple of GPers and that is the limit per team, per meeting. It might've been so different, speculates Dowhan, if Fredrik Lindgren had got a nomination for the GPs. However, Dowhan doesn't rule out of move for Nicki P ahead of next season, if the current world champion is available and the finances support it.

It looks like some parts of the Polish media are reporting that Nicki P is about to sign a two-year agreement with Zielona Gora: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/04/08/falubaz-kusi-mistrza-swiata/But club president Robert Dowhan is staying tight-lipped on the matter, saying he "can't betray" conversations that might've taken place and that he's "amazed" at the reports on the radio. Dowhan once again pointed out that the Falubaz club already has two GP riders and says that the fans could "not imagine" the team without the two GPers (Walasek and Lindgren). Rzeszow are also "in the hunt" for Nicki P, although it is thought unlikely he would look to ride in Liga I.

Lee Richardson has taken a 20% pay cut.
From the Argus:
I guess with Hancock back it will back to just one of Tai and Lewis.

I guess with Hancock back it will back to just one of Tai and Lewis. I would guess so. The provisional Czestochowa team for Monday has been released and is: 9..T Gapinski 10..S Drabik 11..L Richardson 12..M Szczepaniak 13..G Hancock 14..B Miturski All of which leaves one space, for either Woffinden or Bridger - it's more likely to be our First Lady's favourite Bridger. If both Bridger and Woffinden were called up by the Lions, one would have to ride in what we would call the main body of the team, since the Polish regulations require clubs to field one Polish junior.

It looks like Nicki P has agreed the terms of a contract with Stal Rzeszow, but that Rzeszow being in Liga I is still a bit of a stumbling block - Nicki P wants to ride in the Ekstraliga. A decision should be made in a few days: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/04/15/pedersen-ustalil-warunki-kontraktu-w-rzeszowie/Meanwhile, it looks like Bydgoszcz could be minded to enter the Nicki P equation after their humbling at Gorzow on Monday. Leszek Tillinger, the boss of the Polonia club is not impressed with the way most of his riders have started the season, with only Emil Sajfutdinov being exempted from criticism. Tillinger is determined not to see Bydgoszcz relegated and says he will do whatever is necessary to see that it doesn't happen even if it costs him dearly. Bydgoszcz already have two GPers, Sajfutdinov and Jonsson, so one would imagine that if Nicki P was signed Jonsson would be side-lined: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/04/15/tillinger-straszy-mistrzem-swiata/But over at Bydgoszcz's hated rivals Torun, they're scotching rumours that Nicki P is heading for the champions. The reports, says Torun chairman Wojciech Stepniewski are "rubbish": www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/04/14/stepniewski-pedersen-nie-bedzie-u-nas-startowac/

Mateusz has posted on BSF that Nicki is back in the Czestochowa fold.
Good news for those of us hoping for a competitive match at Gorzow the day after the Leszno GP.

Yesterday's defeat at the hands of local rivals Torun hasn't gone down at all well in Bydgoszcz, with the fans furious at the display, in particular, of Tomasz Chrzanowski. Chrzanowski is a native of Torun and it seems the fans were calling for him to be sent packing back to his native town and that he was a Torun "fifth columnist". Amid all this anxiety it seems like an opportunity for Edward Kennett to join Bydgoszcz could emerge: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/04/20/zmiany-w-polonii-potrzebne-od-zaraz/Krystian Klecha, once a promising junior with the club, also looks like a possible candidate for the bolstering the Polonia ranks. Meanwhile, it looks as if Jonasson Davidsson and Tomasz Chrzanowski will pay for the Torun debacle with their team places for the next fixture.

Artiom Vodjakov moved to Zielona Gora to live prior to the start of the season and there was some talk of him following Emil Sajfutdinov's path to Polish citizenship, but now it seems he's moved back to Russia and his future with the "Green Mountain" club seems uncertain: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/04/23/wodjakow-opuscil-zielona-gore/It seems certain that either Patryk Dudek or Ludvig Lindgren will replace him in Zielona Gora's next few fixtures.
