Whilst I feel a little bit for Ipswich with their team plans being upturned, my opinion has always been against any new rider coming over to this country and being allowed to ride in the EL and the PL straight away.
It also peeves me that the number eight in the EL is a whole different rule to the number eight in the PL. It's the same sport so it should be the same bloody rules.

Yes, indeed, you've been CVSed. Better keep your eyes open, or the treacherous fiend will snap Darcy Ward as a Wolverhampton asset some time during the season. It is beyond comprehension that he's being allowed to ride roughshod over the rules so that he can accommodate Chris Kerr (who is only slightly more stable on a bike than Kozza Smith), without complaint. Well, if no one has the balls to challenge him, then the rest get what they deserve. Oh yes indeed CVS'ed. Fortunately he will very soon be a KL asset, so Wolves won't get a look in, sadly I don't think Ipswich will either anymore. He, presumably would be able to guest for us this season , but I'm expecting his average to be too high for a D/U next season, so he won't be available to the EL for a couple of seasons I don't expect, by which time, the cheque books, of Cecil and Orange Tel will be quivering, and with the best will in the World the Louis' can't compete with them I shouldn't think

Ipswich No 8 - Jerran Hart With all due respect and at the risk of upsetting kevh, not a rider I'd be looking to use too often. I've seen him and wasn't particularly impressed, although it was around the bumps of Shielfield Park.

I've seen him and wasn't particularly impressed, although it was around the bumps of Shielfield Park. No problem with that at all. Jerran is a Lakeside asset so I guess had Cookie decided he was ready for this, Jerran would be a Hammer this year. Ipswich's problems recruiting a number eight have been well documented, so clearly Jerran's appointment is a compromise. Like Sube, I wouldn't expect him to be called upon to ride on many occasions, but if/when he does, he'll give 100%.

Interestingly, he looked pretty good today, although I agree it's difficult to gauge speed and track craft at P & P days. However: For me the most impressive today was Danny, who seemed to be flying. Jarek - soon got into the swing of things and was fast from the gate starts Dawid - soon seemed to get the hang of the track and as the afternoon wore on he seemed to be really dialled in. Swidders - well it was Swidders ;D Tobi - fit and raring to go and it showed Wilko - was happy that he got his set up sorted for the track, and he looked comfortable and happy to be back (love 'im) Kozza - all us ladies just couldn't believe how drop dead gorgeous that boy is ;D , and boy can he gate!!! And Leigh, seemed to be having a go over the whole track, and I think he will do the business this year. All in all a good if cold P & P for them all, so bring on the pesky 'Ammers on Thursday now

I wonder if badge remembered? To be fair to her, yes she did. I hope I'm not going to be hung drawn and quartered for name dropping here !!! Before the meeting I was busy getting rider signatures for Kozza's 21st birthday card , and then I went and stood with some friends to help give support to a couple for the minute's silence to their son. Well you know what happened during the meeting and poor Dawid rode in 7 of the 12 heats, and at the end of the meeting I was more worried about his injury and asking him about that but I did text Kevin and tell him if he needed me to ask him I would next week
