[Absolutely correct ML, problem is they forgot to mention it at the AGM, Hmmmm. Okay then how did the Edinburgh promotion know about it? That's where I got it from and that was a while ago. Have you seen the minutes? I assume they can't mention every little thing at the AGM, it'd take forever and a day, so if something isn't mentioned then surely the rule remains the same (until it suits CVS to change it for Wolverhampton). Mind you, with double-uping being re-introduced, you'd have thought the rules governing double-uping would've been addressed completely. But, then again, this is the BSPA we're talking about.

Is that Alec?? He's on the MC and was the one who notified JL of the decision. Strange wouldn't you think that Coventry may have been considering Wells , and Colin Pratt was also at the AGM and is also on the MC with Alec, Neil Machin and CVS.

I don't know the answer ML but its a bit strange that Alex Harkess and Colin Pratt are both members of the BSPA governing body and only one of them is aware of the ruling. I was also aware the rule wasn't minuted.

Yes I meant Alex and I have no idea why a couple of EL promoters say it wasn't mentioned. Maybe they weren't listening as was the case of KL a few years back when they got it wrong. I do find it strange though that you and LW have seen the minutes

ML, LW and I haven't got time to read 35 pages of minutes, but I know 3 men who did.

They can't. As I have said all along doubling up is not allowed on an assessed average. Absolutely correct ML, problem is they forgot to mention it at the AGM, and a bit like the Monberg scenario, they "mean't" to put can't ride with an assessed average. I suspect it will appear in the rule book as it is being printed as we speak, but trust me it was not in the minutes , but we have to accept the disappointment and move on, Wilko is a lovely lad. Absolutely not true. The criteria was decided and voted upon at the AGM. If some promoters choose not to pay attention and record important info that's up to them!!

If he can't double up on an assessed average then he can't surely be number 8 either can he? If he is number 8 then Darcy will probably see more action than Wilko and Kozza combined anyway!!

I'm a firm believer where speedway is concerned that the entertainment factor and getting value for your entrance money is every bit if not more important than success. Although there is sure to be disappointment at the Darcy Ward thing, the Witches fans will certainly get entertainment in bucket loads from Wilko and Kozza Smith!

We toyed with the idea before the AGM and spoke with him after then realised we might not be able to use him sought confirmation as such and had it confirmed.
