Wasn't the subject changed quickly when Kelvin mentioned that the Holder family had come to Europe for the World U21 final ? Rico I spluttered when he had the gall to mention that this was "speedway at the highest level".

The revised Arena team no match for a very solid Pirates ship. When I looked at the teams man for man I just thought that the Pirates were stronger throughout - I fear next week could be a big thrashing for the Hammers.
Very professional job from the Pirates tonight.
Hmm heat 15, do Poole 'throw' it to get a few extra on the gate next week.

I really don't know why Jedrzejak wasn't in Ht 15 - he's been consistently sharp out of the gate. More poor management from Jon Cook, I'm afraid.

Poole are a much better team and thoroughly deserved the win, but the team manager should not be throwing away points, not using Davidsson as a tactical was unbelievably inept.

I thought that was a reasonably entertaining meeting. There were as many decent races as there have been in other Sky matches, and more than in many. Commentators still get on my wick but I've learned to ignore them.
Big well done to Chris Louis for his "what's the track like" bit at the top of the prog. He made more sense in that 90 seconds than Sam Ermolenko has spouted all bloody season. He got it spot on too.
When will Chris Gay get the sack. He's been an arsehole of a referee for years. The five words that brought dread to all Lynn fans when we were in the EL were "the referee is Chris Gay". He couldn't get things right then and he still bloody well can't.

Bit of payback from Andreas I thought the same until replays showed he didn't touch him. Andreas, Tomasz or Jonas as Lakeside's man of the match? I can't decide.

Lakeside's injury crisis finally caught up with them tonight. They've got away with it against the lesser sides, but not tonight.
Poole too powerful for a side who badly missed Shields, Kylmakorpi & Tomicek. Bjarne Pedersen is very good around Lakeside - for a moment I thought he was going to get around Jonsson in Heat 15.
Lakeside dropped a clanger in not nominating Davidsson as a TR in Heat 9. The T/S move in Heat 8 didn't work, but I would have tried exactly the same.

It really was a first class display from the Pirates, you can't take anything away from them. They thoroughly deserved their win. Lakeside have had a great season, but they really were poor tonight, apart from Jonas Davidsson and Tomasz Jedrzejak. Krzysztof Jablonski can be excused, but Kling and Lanham really ought to be tanking the likes of Daniel Davidsson.

Jon Cook was definitely Poole's MOM.
His non tactical in heat 9 was even more inept than signing a Pole without knowing the average he's on!
