Looking forward to tomorrow. If Lakeside win by 15+ i think it will be game over. Ten+ and its game on. Less than that advantage Pirates.
Poole are not Swindon and will not crumble the same way. lets hope for a huge crowd and some good racing.

I very much doubt they will go with a track that is as slick as it was last Monday, far too obvious. Despite what Poole fans say, most of the team can go pretty well around Arena Essex, slick or grippy so it will be elbows out time.. I think the Lakeside team will look toward a 12 point lead with a hope that they can defend that well enough down at Wimbourne Rd. Even if the racing is not top draw, I think the contest will be so I'm looking forward to the next 9 days...

The Poolsters might think Arena Essex has a nasty little track, but it could be worse, it could be Bydgoszcz. Lots of Lakesiders and Poolsters in action around the famed Polonia circuit this afternoon, but the Poole boys were definitely second best:
11..J Davidsson..2,3,0,2' = 7+1 13..A Jonsson..2',3,3,3,3 = 14+1
1..M Zetterstrom..1,0,1',1,3 = 6+1 2..K Jablonski..3,1,2,2,0 = 8 5..B Pedersen..1,1,2,1',0 = 5+1
Ht 2..Jablonski, Okoniewski, Zetterstrom, Gollob 2-4 (7-5) Ht 3..Chrzanowski, Davidsson, Karpov, Adamczak 2-4 (9-9) Ht 4..Sajfutdinov, Jonsson, Pedersen, Forsberg 5-1 (14-10) Ht 5..Davidsson, Sajfutdinov, Jablonski, Zetterstrom 5-1 (19-11) Ht 6..Jonsson, Chrzanowski, Karpov, Jedrzejewski 3-3 (22-14) Ht 7..Okoniewski, Gollob, Pedersen, Forsberg 5-1 (27-15) Ht 8..Jonsson, Jablonski, Zetterstrom, Jedrzejewski 3-3 (30-18) Ht 10..Sajfutdinov, Pedersen, Forsberg, Davidsson 3-3 (36-24) Ht 12..Sajfutdinov, Davidsson, Zetterstrom, Forsberg 5-1 (45-29) Ht 13..Jonsson, Jablonski, Pedersen, Gollob 3-3 (48-32) Ht 14..Zetterstrom, Jedrzejewski, Gollob, Pedersen [Ex/2] 3-3 (51-35) Ht 15..Jonsson, Okoniewski, Chrzanowski, Jablonski 5-1 (56-36)

Poole riders were riding safe. this meeting meant nothig as all had been decided before a wheel had turned in anger. Both Bjarne and Zorro ride this track very well but why put themselves at risk in a meaningless fixture?
Today will be a different story, with both sets of riders giving everything. Reckon if we can get away with only being 10-12 down it should be a thriller in the second leg. Anymore lead than that and it's game over.

And I will be cheering on the Pirates - it was going to watch them whist on holiday in Dorset 2 years ago that got me back into speedway, and they remain my 2nd favourite team !

For once I really have no preference as to who wins. May the best team win, without any off track controversy and a bit of credibility is restored for speedway. I just hope that it's a good meeting as far as racing is concerned. I'm afraid close scores do not a decent meeting make. Take note Kelvin and Nigel. BTW welcome to the Weird World Mr Shovlar

And I will be cheering on the Pirates note for Bratters! You must ban this young lady from the EoES Hodgy got a forum ban for much less and this is treason. At the very least she should be tied to one of the starting poles and let the kids (hers first ;D) throw rotten fruit at her. A fitting end to the season after the best pairs or whatever it is - who needs fireworks

I see no reason why he wouldn't be. Jon Cook said he would line-up providing all went well in Poland, and actually I think it went better than expected.
