This week's Bank Holiday fayre on Sky Sports sees the Coventry Bees hosting the play-off chasing Ipswich Witches at the somewhat unusual time of 4:30pm BST. And it's not hard to see why this fixture would appeal to Sky, with the ultimate gating tart Rory Schlein riding against the club that so recently showed him the door in order to shoe-horn Hans Andersen into the line-up. Ipswich also have Steve Johnston, another of last season's Coventry heroes in their ranks, while the Bees will be without Simon Stead, who unfortunately suffered a broken collarbone last week. I can see this being jolly close and I can see Ipswich going back to Suffolk with three points in the bag.

Bit of a bugger them having RR for Stead though - on paper at least it wpould appear to make them stronger. I believe Rory is keen to prove a point (or 15!) however!

Hopefully Robert will remember that he likes riding at Brandon and will repeat his double figure scores of last year - I think if he does we might sneak this one...

Will you be coming to this one MH? After winning at Eastie last weekend, i had high hopes for winning this, but after nearly losing at home to wolves on Thursday I'm no longer confident. As MH says, a lot depends on which Bobby turns up and also which team Johnno is riding for! ;D

Simon has been riding really well lately and R/R will definitely not get as many points as he would have done. Agree with you about Rory though. Drat! Double figure score for him.

I agree on the r/r situ. For this meeting only Bomber will not be eligible, bugger. That means Olly, Billy J & reserves. I can honestly say, if the Witches don't take these points then the cheif Witch should put them all in a stew-pot ;D

Some quite good stuff so far, but a lot of embarrassment as well. Embarrassing to see Coventry getting their knickers in a twist over a rider like Ben Barker. And even more embarrassing the pathetic efforts of the Ultimate Gating Tart in Ht 4 - made to look like a mug by Filip Sitera, I ask you?

Difficult know which rider is a bigger embarrassment at the minute; Janniro or Schlein, take your pick. Schlein is just clueless if he doesn't gate and Janniro is often just clueless. And at the minute, he's pointless as well.

Disgusting move by Coventry in the opening heat. The referee should've excluded Auty, and not let Sitera out to replace him.
And also, don't you have to sign on an hour before the meeting starts to ride? Quite a bit of rule breaking by Coventry today.

And The Joke has to resort to borrowing bikes, again. Must have done all his money down the boozer instead of spending it on looking after his machinery.

Shows you how much faith Coventry have in Auty - maybe he made a bad move in signing for them?
